Class Assignments - Notification?

RCMS has 1500 kids in it. Can you imagine 1500 kids not knowing where to go once they got off the bus?

The solution cannot be go ask an adult standing in the hallway.

1500 kids are not going to orientation today.

We are RCMS too and baffled why they said report to 1st period as if the kids even know where that is. Why are we having to scramble 30 minutes before bus pick up to check room numbers online? They said kids would get their schedule in 1st period - well that doesn’t make sense. They need their schedule before 1st period so they know where to go! Poor planning.

Oh you are so right -- so maybe only 700 would be asking the "adult standing in the hallway" which way to their first period. Thanks for the reassurance!

Where do you see this?

Not a good look for the first promised activity of the new school year.

The disappointment continues.

You people are psychotic. Just because it wasn't online at 6:00 on the dot doesn't make FCPS a failure. Everything is there now.

I guess, who cares? So it’s not a great plan. Good practice for your child to deal with an annoying situation. Won’t be the first time. They will be ok.

Saw my ES kids' classes in Schoology. We just changed ES's and my 3rd grader has 29 kids in her class. I wish we'd stayed at our school. Her class was 20 students.

Schedules should have been released yesterday so that kids know where their 1st period is.

Why does it bother you that people thought it was too late?

You understand that everything was posted in advance of orientation, right? Calm down.

It’s there now. My MS kid has gym everyday 🙄

My kid would consider that a huge win and beg me not to say anything!

Thanks for tip on seeing class members on Schoology. Helpful.

Unfortunately it isn’t there for everyone. Class members are listed at my daughter’s school but hidden at my son’s AAP center school. For him we see only the teacher.

Yeah, we could see the number of students in class, but no names. There is definitely no uniformity in the way things rolled out.
