Class Assignments - Notification?

Will we get a notification or e-mail when class assignments are posted in ParentVue?

I think every school does this a little differently. We get an email and then the assignments show up in Parentvue after. It's always one or two days before open house.

Our school announced we'll get an email next Tuesday; open house is Thursday.

Our school said it would be available by 6am Thursday (open house is Friday).

We usually get ours on Monday when Open House is Thursday. This year our Open House is Friday so it may be a day later. I already saw ours in the Talking Points App for families though. I was also able to see my middle schooler’s entire schedule which is comforting.

The registrar/front desk employee at my kids’ school sent an email, but regardless the assignments should be posted in Parent Vue by now.

Sometimes, kids get left off a list. It gives time to notify the school that your kid did not get notified.

Gee. I remember back in the day when they posted the lists on the front of the school. I remember one kid was left off and the school was locked because they didn't want any complaints, I guess. The kid who was left off while her friends were excited was really, really bummed. And, seeing the staff walking around inside did not help.

It seems like it would be easier to fix mistakes if they provided the schedules earlier. Why wait until the last minute?

I thought every school was finalized by now?

Things are rarely ever finalized. Changes are often still made on Day 1 through the first week. Even after when they drop of transfer to other classes.
