+1 yep. It makes more sense but of course FCPS doesn’t care. They don’t want to deal with parent calls or complaints about their child’s teacher assignments or schedule.

Can you blame them? FCPS parents are totally nuts and it’s a full time job just dealing w complaints. I’d like to know sooner, too, as my kid has anxiety and knowing teacher assignment and which friends will be in class puts her mind at ease, but I understand why they won’t do it.

Thankful I know my kids teacher since he is AAP and there is only 1 per grade.

Our school changed the AAP teacher around.

Our school has had the same 4 AAP teachers for the last five years, so I know they were all staying.

Why do some students still haven't been assigned to a teacher in grade school?

They can find out the first day of school. What’s the rush?

You must not have kid because you have no idea what stuff need to be done before first day (school supplies, teacher's name and room number, health forms, teacher's requirements, etc.)

The Principal at Chesterbrook Elementary said the same thing, and we are still waiting said email 😂 kids have been asking ALL DAY LONG, and went to bed without knowing the answer! Communication failure at its best!

Contrary to what FCPS promised, there is no schedule available in SIS.
My anxious high schooler got up to see their classes for their walk through today, and of course nothing is there.

IT fail, FCPS.

Not a good look for the first promised activity of the new school year.

The disappointment continues.

Have them check Schoology and I hope they’re getting help for the anxiety.

I think you're right, PP, about a possible system-wide IT problem. We can't see anything either in Student SIS or Parent SIS (two kids in MS).

Last year, schedule became active at 6:00 AM, on the dot.

We were told it would be in SIS, but it’s not there.

+1. DCs schedule is not showing up in SIS, but all of the courses are in Schoology. Just be sure to switch to student view.

Same here - we were told teacher assignments at 6 am on SIS, but nothing seems to have posted yet. Sigh!

^^^^^^. Switching to student view is if you’re in your parent account. Obviously your child wouldn’t need to switch views if they’re the one logging in.

Student view schoology (not parent view and not SIS) worked for me too.
