Class Assignments - Notification?

Our open house is Friday afternoon. If it’s like last year, we will get an email from the teacher Friday morning confirming class placement.

The principal announced that we should get an email on Wednesday with the class assignments and then ParentVUE will be populated for Thursday with the data. Friday is open house.

We are supposed to get them tomorrow morning. Open House is Friday. School already said don't ask for class reassignments.

I have one kid at an AAP center and one kid at local base.

AAP center email class placements on Monday.
Base school - still waiting for class placement letter via snail mail and I don't not expect it to arrive today. I think I'll see the teacher when it's posted on parent vue tomorrow morning.

+1 yep. It makes more sense but of course FCPS doesn’t care. They don’t want to deal with parent calls or complaints about their child’s teacher assignments or schedule.

Can you blame them? FCPS parents are totally nuts and it’s a full time job just dealing w complaints. I’d like to know sooner, too, as my kid has anxiety and knowing teacher assignment and which friends will be in class puts her mind at ease, but I understand why they won’t do it.

Thankful I know my kids teacher since he is AAP and there is only 1 per grade.

Our school changed the AAP teacher around.

At our school, the teachers all call the parents. As you can imagine this results in a lot of group texting, and anxiously awaiting a phone call over the course of several days. My daughter found out her teacher yesterday morning, while my son didn’t find out until late this afternoon. An email would be easier for all.

We don’t get DC’s schedule until tomorrow morning before the Open House, but his profile now has the name of his counselor. They also changed the bus pick-up time again 🙄
