All she did was accelerate polarization of R and L factions and contribute to the hollowing out of the middle ground upon which consensus has to be built.

As other posters have mentioned here: Cheney has never condemned her dad's positions on Iraq. VP Cheney created and promoted a torture framework for use by Federal agents. Ironically it was Trump in the 2016 primaries who called out Jeb Bush over Jeb's support for Iraq. Trump demolished 15 years of Republican orthodoxy in a 90 minute primary debate.

I don't think we should visit the sins of the fathers onto the children. Judge Liz by her actions. And right now her actions make her a defender of democracy, which is more than can be said for most of her colleagues.
It's more courageous on her and Kinzinger's part to buck their party's trend, than it is for the Democrats to criticize everything Trump does.

I am not part of the group who suddenly love Liz, and I would never vote for her. She voted with Trump 93% of the time.

That said, I am grateful that she found her spine after the insurrection and said “no more”. I root for her and Kinzinger right now. The enemy of my enemy is my friend

And I would stop it with the heaping of blame on the man. Fact is, he beat Trump and did his country a tremendous service with that one act. What have YOU done by comparison ?
