I'm curious why Democrats have to give you everything to earn your vote, but a Republican only has to not participate in a coup. |
LOL. Hysterical rant! Especially in light of the fact that Democrats are throwing millions of dollars into races to prop up certain Republican candidates. They must not really believe that "Democracy is in danger!" or "They are fascists!" |

"I'm curious why Democrats have to give you everything to earn your vote, but a Republican only has to not participate in a coup." Nationalized Health Care and a Constitutional Amendment that states, " a Woman has sole autonomy over her body and neither Congress nor the States shall attempt to regulate same" are not " everything I want " * I also want an Assault Weapons Ban * meaningful support of the American family- also known in the Western Civilized world as fully paid 1 year maternity leave * equal access to high quality 4 year college- also known in the 1st world as fully funded college education paid for by the state And Liz Cheney is doing much more than, as you term it: " not participating in a coup". Liz Cheney has lead the Jan 6th hearings , knowing it would likely cost her her Congressional seat. She has said, " acting to protect our constitution is the single most important thing I will ever do in my professional life" That is MUCH MORE than " not participating in a coup" I would prefer a hard charging Dem, but too often we elect compromisers like Obama and Clinton. We need an FDR or a LBJ. I will settle for a Republican who will nail Trump and ALL of his co-conspirators to a wall, come out as pro- gay marriage ( admitting she was wrong ) and saying she is personally pro-life, but maybe , just maybe she will come out and say states cannot infringe on womens medical decisions made with their doctor. I can see her doing that. Give her time It would not be un heard of in politics to be more effective getting what you want from inside |
She would be better than any other known Republican at this time, because she is smart and honest and ethical and willing to put her career on the line for what she knows is right. Hoever, if you are not conservative, then any republican is a problem. |
Same. I wish she and other moderate Republicans would create a third party. I’d be onboard - moderate D |
Why would right leaning primary voters vote for them? Politicans have to run more left or right during the primary and then go more moderate for the election. |
NP. Ethical?! She willing and knowingly participated in an illegal war of aggression built on lies to enrich her family leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocents. She belongs on trial at The Hague followed by life in prison. What’s your definition of unethical? |
| Liz isn’t from Wyoming. |
|
Liz Cheney has earned my respect. I know we don't agree on anything politically. Living in a democracy means allowing a wide range of political opinions and policies. It means the people get to decide (by various means that are more or less direct suffrage). It's more important for the right and left to unite to fight un-Democratic extremists than it is to spend our days fighting each other because of abortion or climate change (which I care about, a lot!). So if any centrist wants to cross party lines and vote for Cheney, that's fine. The most important thing is to support all the conservatives brave enough to fight against Trump. |
Her constituency says otherwise. Sorry. |

Can she run as an Independent in WY? Or do they have Sore Loser Laws that would block her from the general election ballot?
She could absolutely pull a Murkowski and win in November. She has plenty of financial firepower to run the campaign. |
Have you tried asking the Google machine? |
She could run as a write-in candidate, just like Murkowski. I bet she would win. Alternatively, she could create a new party from scratch and get on the November ballot. She just can't run as an "Independent". |
Supposedly she might make a big speech tonight. About running as an Independent. |
