If you want to send a strong message to Putin, save the Republican party from the wacko R wing ...and Champion Women in Leadership roles in the 21st Century: Liz Cheney for POTUS
What qualifies her most of all - integrity. Her statement on why she chose to take on Trump: from the weekend news cycle: Cheney said her work on the January 6 committee "is the single most important thing I've ever done professionally," telling Tapper that even if she loses her upcoming race for reelection because of her committee work, there was "no question" it was still worth serving on it. AND, how refreshing a politician who can admit she was Wrong on her opposition to gay Marriage ( which she now supports saying , " people should be allowed to love who they love" https://www.thedailybeast.com/liz-cheney-urges-republican-senators-to-back-same-sex-marriage-bill She is also determined to out Ginni Thomas and what she did, said, and knows: https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/24/politics/liz-cheney-donald-trump-january-6-cnntv/index.html For those who have waited decades for this- get behind her |
| Yeah, I could. - Liberal |
| I am glad the Jan 6th committee did their work but remember, Liz Cheney marched in lockstep with everything else Trump brought forward. I would not vote for her but I do respect the fact that she could break the new "code" that has been set up for Republican's. |
|
I'd prefer her than just about any other Republican politician.

| Unfortunately I would be absolutely thrilled with Liz Cheney as President. Never thought I would say that. |
Given the state of the country and who could actually reach the White House, I don't think we could do much better. -Liberal again |

I'm a Democrat and I've always voted blue but I would 100% vote for her.
If it's Cheney vs Biden in 2024, Cheney would get my vote there as well. I'm sorry, but Biden will be too old for office in 2024. If it's Cheney vs Harris in 2024, I think Cheney might even get my vote but it would be a close one. |
|
I have voted Clinton, Nader (thankfully in a state where it didn't make a difference/lesson learned), Kerry, Obama, Obama, Clinton, Biden since I turned 18. My current criteria is moderate, intelligent, and demonstrated integrity, so I'd vote for Cheney too at this point. I don't agree with her on everything, but I don't agree with anyone on everything at this point. The government is swirling
down the toilet right now and we need a re-start. |
| She seems as she would be great! Reminds me of Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady. |
| No more neocons and their forever wars. |
|
She is still anti-choice and is not a moderate.
She is preferable to any MAGA, but I will still vote for someone who supports privacy and the right to choose. |
|
She will not get the GOP ticket.
Could she win the WH as an independent? |
|
Given she wouldn't even get Wyoming's electoral college votes, I am not sure how she would be considered a viable option.
I certainly hope she runs as an independent so the right wing vote is split. |
She's anti-choice but compare her to the Republicans who want to restrict travel and prosecute women and doctors and anyone who helps. Sadly, her positions on abortion seem moderate in 2022. |
