For the greater good!!!!! But right - this is why people hate politicians because they wouldn't do something for the greater good.

Stacy Langton in 2023!

They probably thought FCPS was so wonderful they'd have their pick of excellent candidates...and now they see what we knew (nobody with any sense would want to come into the mess they created). Superintendents across the country are burned out and not looking for a job that has a lot of conflict. Much better to stay in a smaller district where people accept the decisions you make, you are given authority to make decisions, and people don't file lawsuits for everything.

Agree 100%.....I bet Braebrand is happy to go....no one wants this job.

Hell. No. “Mama Bears” need not apply. Although at this point, they may be the only willing candidates.

Would one of the “Mama Bears” focus on academics and facilities rather than the woke nonsense that’s defined the last two years of Brabrand’s tenure?

If so, sign her up!

Literally, the only things "woke" related the last two years that have even remotely affected me are from the right. They are the ones banning books, focusing time/energy/money removing teaching of a concept in the schools that was never taught, and frothing at the mouth like rabid raccoons at SB meetings.

You have your head in the sand. The FCSB sides with the teachers unions over parents and kids. The FCSB is a national embarrassment.

“Mama Bears” are hysterical loons pulling resources AWAY from academics.

Yes, “Mama Bear” psychos hate teachers and “teachers unions”.

Mama Bears are the least of our problems.

Mama Bears scare away decent candidates. And pull away resources from academics.

Their hysteria hurts our kids.

It also scares good teachers away. I know many who are leaving.

We just want to make sure kids are actually in school in person no matter where this pandemic goes in the future and unfortunately we can't trust the current people in charge on that front. It's a really low bar but anyone is better than who we have now.

I too am very unhappy with the current school board, but don't kid yourself that it can't be worse. Have you paid any attention to what is happening in TX or FL lately? It definitely CAN get worse.

I think a lot of people would prefer to be on a committee rather than a political position. They should start more committees and then just go by these recommendations and their own school system's recommendations.

Garza and Domenech came from really small school districts as well and generally respected. District size != competency. Who exactly did you all have in mind? Too much complaining here,

The new principal hasn’t started yet!

Just google her name and you'll see.
I googled her name and I don’t see. Please explain.

This hardly seems disqualifying. “Aye is “a good person and clearly has some qualifications,” but “in my view and the view of many others is not the right fit for our school.””

Garza was very high up at Houston public schools before taking the job as superintendent at Lubbock. She definitely knew her way around a large school system.

Yep, who wants to deal with those frothing, rabid psychos? I wouldn't.

In my opinion the majority of students in TX and FL are better off having had in person school for a year more than FCPS.

Well it hurts your kids too - if they don't have teachers. So I would figure out ways to get along rather than blaming others and calling them frothing psychos.

Thanks for sharing your “opinion” that is not based on any valid data. Hearing from your friends in those states doesn’t count as valid data. Come back when you can compare apples to apples data like SAT scores.
