The new principal hasn’t started yet!

Just google her name and you'll see.

What’s wrong with FHS new principal?

I've posted my concerns in this forum many times but every time dcum admins delete my postings. Like the previous poster said, just google her name.

Move on. No one is going to close schools again. Of course, there will be individual problems now that covid rates are going up and some people refuse to mask.

I was thinking about that argument you people make while I was down in FL over spring break. Seems like those schools are open just fine with no masking.

“You people.” Nice. There is an uptick in cases and it could cause disruptions since some aren’t masking and school districts can’t mandate masks anymore since their hands were tied by Youngkin. But I know that many people are not testing or reporting or keeping kids home when they’re sick. Anyways this is off topic to the thread.

I don't think it is off topic - we need a superintendent who can lead as the pandemic progresses.

How we know this is the final choice and these two ladies were the final candidates?

Nope. By moving backwards and continuing the push for masks and forcing these stupid mitigations across the schools?

Fairfax NAACP got a leak about the two finalists and publicized it yesterday. They threw their support behind Logan, likely knowing the School Board was leaning towards Reid. Now Logan has withdrawn and we’ll see if Reid follows suit.

FCPS is dysfunctional and will remain so until the current School Board is replaced next year.

Ummmm....perhaps you don't remember, but here's a refresher...

The covid-19 pandemic STARTED in Washington state (and California). The first outbreaks and terrible deaths were in nursing homes in Washington state. While that was happening right at Dr. Reid's doorstep, it was 100% reasonable and necessary ti shut schools there. At that time, we on the East coast , the South and Midwest were watching to see what would happen and whether it would spread. In fact, the virus was spreading in NYC and soon spread to the mid-atlantic and South.

The fact that schools in Washington state closed a week or so before the rest of the US does not mean anything other than Ms, Reid's district was hit with the virus first, and they responded first.

I wonder why Logan would withdraw.

Hell. No. “Mama Bears” need not apply. Although at this point, they may be the only willing candidates.

Would one of the “Mama Bears” focus on academics and facilities rather than the woke nonsense that’s defined the last two years of Brabrand’s tenure?

If so, sign her up!

Maybe because she didn’t want her current bosses to know she was applying elsewhere.

Maybe because she doesn’t want to be known as the ‘diversity’ candidate.

Maybe she knew she was diving headfirst into the looney tunes agenda of the politics in our area.

I think it’s a huge assumption that Michelle is the final candidate.
