Maybe because she didn’t want her current bosses to know she was applying elsewhere.

Maybe because she doesn’t want to be known as the ‘diversity’ candidate.

Maybe she knew she was diving headfirst into the looney tunes agenda of the politics in our area.

If she has family/a house here, wouldn’t she already be aware of the level of crazy? Watch a sb meeting with members of the public calling Frisch a pedophile (Stacy Langston at the last meeting), and you’d run away, too.

Move on. No one is going to close schools again. Of course, there will be individual problems now that covid rates are going up and some people refuse to mask.

I was thinking about that argument you people make while I was down in FL over spring break. Seems like those schools are open just fine with no masking.

Few are masking here and we are doing fine too.

Agree. I bet they appoint an interim (cpugh cough Sloan cough cough) and start over. Hopefully without the expensive search firm that produced mediocre results, but given the level of disfunction, probably not.

Maybe she was the leak and then realized too late that the plan would backfire.

There will likely be an investigation over the leak.

Stacy Langton in 2023!

There’s not a chance in hell. Have you seen her Twitter feed?

Ok then.

They would be wise to make Sloan Presidio the acting superintendent and leave it to the next School Board to appoint a permanent replacement. He is a decent person and better qualified than Lockard, who was the interim after Garza quit.

It will cost the county a lot of money if the current SB appoints a new superintendent and the next School Board quickly decides to replace her and has to buy out her contract. And there doesn’t seem to be anything close to wide support for Reid, with both the conservative groups and the NAACP already lined up against her.

Thanks to them, the candidate with the experience of working in a large district (Philadelphia, then Omaha), who is a woman of color and speaks Spanish, has now withdrawn. I’m sure this Michelle Reid is nice and is competent. But she has no experience running a school system the size of FCPS.

The NAACP’s letter was ridiculously stupid and arrogant. They thought they deserved a seat on the interview panel. As if no one else there on the panel was concerned about the achievement of student of color. Hope they’re happy now.

I don't know why this is the NAACP's fault, they were pushing for Logan.

That's cruel to make your child switch schools in high school just because of your political views. Good luck getting your kid to like you after ruining their social life like that.

But they put out a press release yesterday pushing hard for Logan even though Logan then said she’d withdrawn from consideration a week ago.

So either the NAACP had bad intelligence or was just looking to sink Reid.

The irony is the Democrats on the School Board live and breathe to keep the NAACP happy, and now they are fighting in public. Imagine how the people who get no attention from the School Board feel about them.
