I walk/run for exercise without a mask and I still stay 6' away from people. I also wash my hands and use and sanitizer. I recommend it. |
Hopefully you are vaxxed, because your number will come up. |
For the life of me I don't know how people are still living like 2 years ago. And sanitizer is awful for you, no one should recommend it unless you're in a health care facility. |
I bet you are a filthy, slob. |
Maybe according to you. But I'm not a germophobe, and rarely get sick - despite working in person (with kids!). Exposing your body to "germs" in doses here and there (like doorknobs, crosswalk signals, etc) keeps your immune system active and busy, which is a good thing. It's like a muscle. Sanitizing your world is the worst thing you can do for your immune system and health. |
| I just don't understand why people care so much what other people do. |
| If masks were the be all end all Hong Kong would not be in the state it is right now. China is learning the hard way that a crappy vaccine plus masks aren’t good enough. |
I mean, they also are under a literal dictatorship with a social credit system so… |
If masks work, why don't they work? Vietnam is currently reporting what would be the equivalent of 675,000 US cases (population adjusted). South Korea, with 99% mask compliance, equivalent of 1.75 million cases in the US. Thailand. Scotland. Austria and Germany, who have N95 and surgical indoor mask mandates. New Zealand, 315,000% increase in covid since their mask mandate in August. |
|
Which vaccine(s) did the South Koreans get? The trends in China are somewhat understandable right now. Korea seems to be having relatively lower deaths even though it has a lot of cases. |
Right but that’s the topic of vaccine effectiveness. Not mask effectiveness. |
Pfft. I've been using hand sanitizer for years. My whole family has. We even wipe down our phones with it when we arrive home. While you snot-goblins were sniffing and sneezing your way through life pre-pandemic, neither I nor anyone in my family was ever sick. Not even colds. It's amazing what good hygiene practices can do. There's nothing more revolting than watching someone board the metro, pull out a bag of chips, and dig in with their filthy hands. |
Soap and water > Purell |
DP. Agreed. Hand sanitizer is not good for your skin at all. Use sparingly. But not all the time. |
