You do recognize that these issues are not unique to MCPS, don't you?

It’s society right? Jesus. Pretty pathetic.

Yep, it's not McKnight or a GOP or Dem problem, it's society.

I'm more scared of my kid getting shot than getting covid (which he already did and was fine).

Some people take... no, create... any opportunity they can to say COVID is NBD and we should keep schools open under all circumstances. Pathetic.

All Trump's fault

I feel bad for all these kids who have had to live through this pandemic and now have this trauma on top of it. I hope that MCPS is able to at least provide counseling, if it’s capable of doing anything but I’m not holding out hope.

I’m just absolutely done with the this school system.

Quit your racist drivel. This is NOT McKnight’s fault.

MCPS has been broken for years. Before McKnight came to be in charge.

The buck stops with her.

Must be nice to just blame one’s failures on someone else or just society generally. I would be interested to hear what exactly we are allowed to hold her accountable for.

Did she show up at the school? Is she seeing the students as they are dismissed? Has she said a single word or is she hiding behind MCPS says so her name is not associated with this bad news?

The principal of Chevy Chase ES has had more public comment than all if these county leaders combined.

Kids bringing guns to school is not an MCPS problem. Its a USA problem.

What are you talking about? Just making zero sense.

It makes perfect sense. Guns are an issue across America. It’s clear to me.

If you don't want to send your special snowflake to school, you can always homeschool. Pathetic is right.

There was the frying pan incident a couple years ago.

So it’s not an MCPS problem that a kid was shot and critically wounded today at an MCPS high school? This is like when your teenager tries to get out of trouble saying, “everyone does it”. Horrible excuse and completely unacceptable. Particularly for a supposed “top” school system

Actually it was during lunch time. But no one was directly injured. Cannot believe I remembered this. I do think there was a more recent similar incident though.

Congressman Raskin is engaged and yet the folks most directly responsible, the ones that we look most directly to for their leadership have gone MIA. What is happening to this county? It’s hard to respect any of these people.
