Teen DD has worn PJ bottoms to school every day for two weeks

The PJs are better than most of what is available for teenagers these days.

Exactly.

You both sound like bitter old ladies. Just FYI.

And you sound like a lazy Mom

You likely wear pjs out and about to be “quirky”.

Oh dear lord.

I. High school I wore doc martins, ripped jeans and fishnets. My parents generation was clutching their pearls saying the same garbage.

The amount of time my kid spends on her expensive makeup and hair product belies PP’s suggestion that she has given up caring. And really, she looks cute in baggy pants—she’s like a size 2. She alternate between jeans, joggers and pj pants.

Old people will forever complain about what the youngsters are wearing. It’s the circle of life.

I’m a middle aged mom and I’ve worn pajama bottoms just about everyday (joggers count right?)

Pot meet kettle.

Guess your kid wears these to school 🤡

lol ok. My kid is full grown so IDGAF. But usually someone calling someone else trash needs self reflection because no real kind person would call another human being trash.

Moms defending their kids pajama bottoms… haha. It’s all good people.

Its usually a certain type, I think its a little bit of a rebellion, like "I don't care what you think of me wearing these, I'm outside society's expectations" or something (but still want to be comfy lol). Not the hill I'd die on, for sure. I'd probably try to sell them on sweatpants or something, though. My 6th grade daughter wears either jeans or sweatpants only to school, she wears these baggie ones from brandy melville. They do at least pull off being pants more than patterned pj pants, I guess.

I wouldn't let my 6th grader shop at Brandy Melville, but I would have no problem with any kid wearing PJ pants in general.

They really aren't any different from sweatpants or yoga pants or leggings.

Kids are blindly following trends. It’s not like the 90s when we wanted to buck the trends (but were really just following alternative trends). I hate the look, buy ti also don’t love the mom jeans with crop top look. Although my nine year old came downstairs for school dressed in mom jeans with a shaker cardigan and a center part and low ponytail. Like my mom used to wear in her 70s. Rip mom— you were ahead of your time!
