I don't think that's the correct name, but it seems in some of the Health threads, well heck, any of the Coronavirus threads there are a few posters who move as a wolf-pack, quickly attacking and supporting one another to create threads of like-minded content, all posted within minutes of one another. Saw some of it last night in this thread but there are other examples as well:
https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/877213.page It's not that people are posting different ideas, it's that the usually give and take of forum messages are a few one way a few the other: this seemed to be more organized 'dog piling'. Been seeing it more frequently recently in a number of threads Anyway, not sure how you would manage that. Just thought I'd mention the observation. |
So, like an MSNBC or Fox segment? |
| Absolutely organized trolls. No doubt got their orders from the Trump re-election campaign. |
| There has definitely been a shift in the type of posts recently. It seems clear that some new forces have discovered DCUM and have piled it on. |
Where does the piling on begin? I don't want to read the whole thread. |
Last night you saw some patterns around page 2-4 https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15/877213.page You'll see a grouping of fast and furious replies, like three or four right after one another, then a break and then they come back again an hour later with another three or four. Could be the same person just replying to multiple thread or replying twice. Been seeing other patterns though in other threads too. |
Moderator, let me do you a favor, don't bother. There's nothing like what the PP is suggesting is there. PP just does not want to read posts that suggest it's time to look at how to protect the vulnerable communities while letting those not at high risk to get on with life. I truly cannot see how she thinks there's any concerted effort in the back and forth of those posts. |
|
Help me out here. Pages 2-4 is 45 posts. What is the timestamp of the beginning of the three or four posts?
|
| I commented on that post in agreement with op but to state the obvious, was not the op. The person complaining seems to find it impossible more than one person disagrees with her, but there are at least two of us. |
Jeff, it's exactly this post above that is splattered all across DCUM on every forum, ad nauseam. Thanks for weighing in, PP, so Jeff has something to go on. |
Posting on every single thread, in every forum -- including Food. |
I'm sorry but I really don't have time to go on a scavenger hunt. Every post on DCUM has a "report" button. If you come across any of the posts that you are describing, please use that button to alert me and I'll take a look. |

Posters come on DCUM and opine in different threads, then leave. I suppose a few posters who either have strong opinions, or who like to troll, reply to multiple threads in rapid succession. DCUM is pretty intense at the best of times, but I think posters are more critical and extreme because of their frustration at home. |
I certainly don’t post on every forum, so there must be more than two people who have different opinions than you. Really not sure why this would be surprising. |
| OP - are you drunk? |
