On top of all the exhoribant party / holiday stuff for the kids, she spent more than 100K a month on beauty, cosmetics, and cosmetic procedures and surgery.

Did she ever leave the beautician's chair to spend that kind of money?

I can't even imagine what all you would have done to spend 100K A MONTH!!

This woman spent his money with reckless abandon. She needs to get on the budget like the rest of us train quickly. She has a very big budget to work with but compared to her previous spending she will going to have to really cut down. Maybe even wash her own hair - gasp!

I think she is likely also terrible with money. She borrowed 20K from her new boyfriend. She rented a 35K a month home before even knowing what all the financial details would be. I don't think she has ever managed money - just spent it. She was also upset that the divorce affected her mom as Kevin stopped giving her mom 5K a month as he has partially supported her for years.

It seems she mostly saw Kevin as a money tree and her job was to live as lavishly as possible and spend. I doubt Kevin even spends as much as she does. He seems more cautious with money, probably because he understands it's value. He wants to only take projects where he can stay at home and be a 50% parent and that means turning down bigger money that would require him to travel or be away on set. I don't think he has limitless liquid cash available each month.

I don’t like Christine but I’m not getting why people view him so positively. For one, there’s no way he only takes projects where he can stay at home as Yellowstone was not filmed near their home and he was on almost every episode. $5k/mo is barely anything at his level of wealth. I don’t think that he has to continue paying it but it seems a bit stingy. Christine probably thought that he cared for her mom and wouldn’t do that to her. Which is certainly naive but is understandable.

All these posts about how Christine was dumb and wasteful and a gold digger but at the end of the day Kevin chose to marry her which speaks to his own values. He apparently thought that Christine was mother material for his children so either he is just as stupid as she is or was perfectly fine with their transactional relationship.

She can comfortably give her mom that money.

It was in the court documents for the initial request she made for 248K a month. When they itemized that amount, 100K was for her beauty and cosmetics. TMZ bought the court documents and reported it.

Kevin’s lawyer went through their finances and itemized the monthly expenses that are related to the kids and they were in line with the $60k that Kevin initially proposed, that’s why the judge awarded her $63k in monthly child support. The remaining amount Christine was requesting is for her upkeep and I guess the upkeep of her mom. The judge needs to send her to a financial literacy course because she is ridiculous. Those kids are going to end up living with Kevin because she is not going to pay that $40k rent.

This was decided as part of the temporary order. She refused his initial CS amount that included him paying all the kids expenses. She wanted like 200k. So the judge initially said you’ll get 127k and you have to pay half because Kevin’s 100% offer was no longer on the table. Now that the final amount of 63k has been set she’s stuck with less than half the temporary order + half the kids expenses.

This woman is not financially smart and she’s getting terrible legal guidance.

Since Kevin has to pay her legal fees for the divorce, which is not unusual, can the judge limit what she can spend on lawyers? Meaning does he have to just keep eating the cost every time she wants to go to court to get more money? Or can the judge say, you get up to 25k per month max for legal fees until the divorce is final.

Otherwise what is the incentive to not keep filing modification requests. Or to drag out the final decision/signing of the divorce documents?

DCUM celeb Nanny here - She’s going to have a reality check, just having to pay for her own household staff. Housekeepers in Santa Barbara/Montecito (for high maintenance celebs) are $40-50/hr. Nannies/Family assistants $40-45/hr. Groceries in Santa Barbara are soooo expensive. I used to work weekends in the area, and I’d bring all my food from LA in a cooler because everything is so expensive. $20k a month (after rent) for someone like her, really is nothing. This is going to be a huge lifestyle adjustment. Even gas is crazy expensive!!

Kevin Costner is worth approximately 400 million. He and his attorneys can spin this info all they want. Even if Christine isn't smart or educated or good with finances.... he married her and thought she would be a good mother for his children. They were married for 20 years. He is acting like a pluperfect JERK. No amount of spin will change that fact.

Christine is 49 years old! She is healthy…she needs to earn an income to support herself!
