| Please tell us why you wont shop in certain stores or online. I am the original OP from the best places to shop. Thanks. |
| Tree Top Toys. Their made-in China junk is way over-priced. When I go into a neighborhood toy store I want to buy some high-quality made in Germany or made in USA items that are not going to end up in the landfill. I'd rather that my children have one or two nice playthings, than a pile of ugly plastic junk. |
| Best Buy - I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate (have I mentioned HATE) Best Buy. They do not care about customer satisfaction at all and often have very misleading promotions. I will go out of my way to avoid that store. |
| Walmart. |
| Walmart. They haven't even come close to making up for all their labor violations. |

Target. Their return policies are too strict for a parent of young children (who have enough to worry about). |
Huh? We do returns all the time there. |
Really? They sell Playmobil and that sort of thing, too. Are you thinking of a specific location (do they have more than one?) I go to the one in McLean a lot, and I'm just curious. I don't really recall seeing a lot of Made in China stuff, which I usually refuse to buy. But I have been frustrated several times by the store being half empty. |

Sears!!! Intensely dislike them- had legitimate dispute and it was SO aggravating to deal with them.
I use my Amex at all questionable places, b/c they are outstanding at resolving issues when the company won't. |

Walmart and Sam's Club.
Domino's Pizza. Toys R Us and Babies R Us. |
| Sierra Trading Post. They charged repeatedly (maybe like six times) for an item ordered online within a day or two period. |

Ethan Allen. They were *SO* rude to me when I complained about the quality of a dining room table and chairs I bought from them (the wood is too soft and it dents where the chairs meet the table, and screws keep falling out from under the chairs). They suggested it was my fault for being too rough with the furniture (um, using it? for a couple of weeks?) and that I should just screw the screws in tighter myself and the problem would go away (they still fall out regularly, over a year later) They also went out of their way to avoid telling me it would go on sale shortly (like DAYS) after I'd bought it.
I still scowl at their store every time I drive past it. I will NEVER buy a thing from them again, and I am pleased to spread the word. |

Target - horrible quality. Clothes have fallen apart days after being worn and washed normally.
"Organic" product lines at supermarkets - not traceable except at Whole Foods. |
| not exactly a retailer but Verizon. Horrible, horrible customer time and time again. after moving to fairfax we switched to cox for cable/phone/internet. Verizon has great offers but they are not worth the time and frustration. |
