Retailers you would never use!!

Ditto this. I'm still scratching my head over this one. My kids had certainly had chocolate prior to being potty trained but would by no means recognize the packaging during a stroll down the diaper aisle at age 2.

Really? New Poster here, but my 2.5 year old has had chocolate like twice in his entire life. The hubby and I both hate chocolate, so we never have it around. Both times he had it, his aunt gave him the little 100 calorie packages of M&Ms. And when he sees M&Ms in the store, he knows exactly what they are. That said, it doesn't cause problems shopping.

One of the original critics here - I think the surprise is that someone would actually boycott a whole grocery store only due to the placement of the chocolate in the store! It has to go somewhere and depending on your shopping list for the week you are probably going to stroll by the chocolate aisle at some point in the month. It just seems like a ridiculous and odd reason to boycott a store especially if you like it otherwise.

Marlo's Furniture Store This place is a joke! HORRIBLE customer service {look at the reviews on yahoo]. We bought a red sofa that bled onto our children's clothes. They told us that it was because that our children were wet. LOL They did nothing about it but sent a lady out with her own paper towel to see if it rubbed off. Weird. I'm not too upset as it was for a playroom and I know to NEVER shop there again. We had just moved here and was in need of a sofa or would have researched a lot better. Don't waste the time even walking in the place!

OMG, Marlo's is the worst place ever!!! Do not buy anything from Marlo's.
We thought we got a sweat deal on a sofa from Marlo's. Boy, were we wrong! We waited two months and was told that it was back ordered. They said that the sofas are manufactured in Asia and the shipments come in once a month. We did not get the sofa until four months later. But, here's the worst part: their delivery guys showed up drunk and ripped a small hole on the back. I think they try to rush it through the front door. These guys were a pretty scary bunch. We did not see the rip until they drove off. We immediately called and sent an email to customer service explaining what happened and attached a picture of the rip. They were very unprofessional and felt like we were bargaining with vendors off the street. We finally got them to agree to replace it. We waited two more months for the exchange. When it arrived, the new sofa had a funny smell, like it was doused in chemical. We did not let our DD sit on it until it was aired out for couple of weeks. What a nightmare! They gave us a gift certificate for $75 "for our troubles". We threw it away. We will never buy another thing from them.

J. Crew - ordered a bunch of stuff from them online. The quality was horrible - ugly colors, cheap lookig jewelery, see through shirts. Blech! Now I have to lug it all bakc to their store.

Whole Foods - Tons of their products are not organic, have preservatives and aren't any better than what you find at a regular store.

Trader Joes - yuck! expired foods. tiny portions for what you pay. Great marketing, crappy food.

Pizza hut on Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda - asshole manager. Unsanitary.

Giant on Old Georgetown by DSW - pharmacy issues

Verizon - hands down worst customer service in America! Overbilled and errors for over a year and every month I called and they said they would correct and it would be reflected on next month's bill. The only thing that was reflected was more mistakes.

Great, I was thinking they might save me from Comcast. Anyone wish there was a Mother Theresa phone, internet and TV package out there?

Enterprise Rent a Car - once when we returned a car they claimed we had scratched it-- we had not-- it must have been there before. Still made us pay hundreds of dollars to repair it. Then, months later, mysteriously returned our money because they said they had sold the car. ?? I definitely appreciated them giving the money back, but the whole incident seemed very screwed up and caused us a lot of stress.

Walmart

Domino's pizza

Agree that several times have bought food at Trader Joe's that is expired or has quickly gone bad.
