I love my state. I don’t live in NOVA and I voted yes.

Positive is you won't have to vote in the future. Kudos!

So Trump has promised.

Most of my democrat neighbors voted NO this morning. None of us want Virginia to turn into California, Illinois, Maryland or NY.

I don’t believe you.

+1

Probably doesn't even live in VA.

I am in a very heart of NOVA.

And how do you know they’re Democrats?

This will all be changed on a federal level. And rightfully so.

Fairfax county representatives should not be representing counties farther away from them than New Jersey is to them. Larger states, it can be necessary (TX can take 10+ hours to drive across, for instance.)

You clearly have zero idea about how elections work. Elections are done on a state level. It would be wildly unconstitutional to "change this on a federal level."

SCOTUS already said it’s ok in TX.

It’s 6+ hrs across VA.

Seems like it’s necessary. 🤷‍♀️

I don’t understand this logic. If anything, that would seem to make it less necessary.

How do you suppose that “this will all be changed on a federal level”? The Supreme Court is fine with partisan gerrymandering. If you mean that the Republicans in Congress will finally be up for banning it, well that is the point.

So n other words, he has no idea. These talking heads are useless.

I just love the GOP arguments about fairness here, as though it didn't start with Texas (and as though they've ever cared about fairness before - I say this as an alum of Al Gore's campaign). We're all trying to find the party that did this...
