+1 Probably doesn't even live in VA. |
+1 My 18yo woke up extra early to go vote before school (his school didn't have off today). This kid NEVER wakes up early (or on time ).
But he knew how important it was. |
Yup. My 18 year old was excited to vote. Young people are really disturbed by the state of affairs: Iran war and automatic draft, AI and the economy, not to mention high gases prices for a kid with a part time job! Voting yes makes them feel they have some agency during the chaotic Trump administration. |
You mean the red parts? the parts that are cheering on what trump did in TX and NC-the dictator nonsense he pulls every day. VOTE YES VA!!!!!! |
I got to applaud two new voters today!!! YES VA!!! |
|
I happily voted yes several weeks ago. I had a bunch of my friends over this morning and they all voted yes too. Trump has forced us to fight fire with fire.
We gave them the chance to get rid of gerrymandering, but "every Republican voted against the nationwide ban on gerrymandering as part of the H.R. 1, the 'For the People Act,' which sought to establish independent redistricting commissions in all states. This bill passed the House with nearly all Democrats supporting it but faced unanimous Republican opposition in the Senate." |
Exactly. They supported the Rs back when they did it in VA in 2010. And they still support the Rs pulling the same shit in on TX, NC, OH, MO, etc. today. F them. |
| Are states even relevant any more? People obviously identify with party over geography. |
The more likely reason she is liberal is that she lives with a wacko MAGA mom. No way she wants to be like mom! |
I love my state. I don’t live in NOVA and I voted yes. |
Positive is you won't have to vote in the future. Kudos! |
