Your failure and that of the Board and Superintendent over the last year and a half is what drove me to vote for a Republican, and it will prevent me from voting for you in the next election. I will likely vote for a Democrat in 2023, but it will not be you, even if you are the only Democrat on the ticket.
Whoa - Im not willing to go that far. I too voted for Elaine, but I voted for McAuliffe on Tuesday and
will not vote for a Republican for the FCPS School Board - but I also won't ever vote for Elaine again either. Hopefully some other Democrat will challenge her.
Good luck to you, doing the same thing over and over yet expecting a different result. We all know what that's called.

Insanity or self-inflicted wound, your pick.
I cannot imagine being so wedded to a local political party that I wouldn’t at least wait to see what a candidate endorsed by a particular party had to say before deciding whether to support them. And, while I often vote for candidates endorsed by Democrats, the single biggest problem with the current School Board is the lack of different perspectives when you have a board that functions mostly as an echo chamber because they are all from the same party. Sure, they squabble with each other occasionally, but it’s all over small stuff, not the larger policy issues they ought to be considering.
