Correction - The effort to oust tholen was supported by people far outside of just Great Falls. We've given up trying to get her to pay attention and do her job properly. And her incompetence negatively impacted kids far beyond any boundary change at McLean. This is not a McLean vs. Great Falls issue - this is a Dranesville-wide issue.

Please elaborate.

She, like her colleagues, spent more time dumbing down TJ, renaming schools, supporting CRT, supporting an incompetent superintendent, going green, ignoring OneFairfax (which Im ok with, but it contradicts her public comments), and catering to those in Great Falls, INSTEAD of proactively pushing to get all kids back in schools sooner, updating virtual tech system wide, hiring/retaining bus drivers, and representing Dranesville as a whole.

Thank you for asking.

One of the Loudoun school board members, Beth Barts, resigned this week.

Hint, hint.

Yes excellent point. Poor Beth did not have the safety net aka Steve Descano, that Elaine has. In both cases, parents signed petitions. In both cases the Board member requested dismissal. In both cases the judge decided there was enough of a reason to move forward. In both cases the case went to the prosecutor. The difference is that Elaine's case when to "i won't prosecute anyone' Steve Descano. Steve hooked up his $2344 friend Elaine (that's how much Elaine donated to Steve - look at vpag.org), so Steve passed the case to his buddy who decided not to pursue charges. In Beth's case, she did not have a $2344 friend and read the writing on the wall.

Corrupt Elaine made a smart move in paying off Steve ahead of time - sort of an insurance policy for favorable treatment for yet-to-be-performed-sins.

FCPS also spent less money renovating McLean in the early 2000s than it has spent on any high school renovation over the past 20 years.

This has occurred even though less overcrowded schools like Justice and Madison are getting additions and they are spending over $40M to expand West Potomac when nearby Mount Vernon is 15-20% under capacity.

Like it or not, McLean will not support local School Board members who don’t ensure the school is treated fairly. And, no, not every high school has trailers, much less as many as McLean had until they finally got the second-hand modular this year.

McLean ain’t gon do ish but vote for Democrats in the next board election, even if Elaine IS Dranesville candidate and the at large ones are the same, so hush.

You are mistaken. Janie Strauss almost lost in 2011 and she never bungled as many things like Tholen did. If Tholen runs again, she will get absolutely shredded by other candidates at candidate forums.

Wow. Your tin foil hat must be on especially tight tonight.

Do you actually believe she Nostradamus-ed the recall and donated to ensure the court proceedings would go her way two years into the after a pandemic?

Not PP, but the cronyism is certainly real.

Do you actually believe Tholen Nostradamus-ed the recall and donated to Descano to ensure that the court proceedings - which involved a change in Commonwealth's Attorney - would go her way two years into the future after a worldwide pandemic?

Did you forget the part where Albemarle County Commonwealth Attorney James Hingele asserted he had independently checked into the allegations against Tholen and found that none of them were true?

Lol, nice try! Like the Albemarle Co CA didn’t get money from the Justice & Safety PAC too

Voted early today and also signed the recall for Omeish and Descano. Glad to have that done.

Yes. I'd like to know, as well. I didn't know there was one out there for him.

I'm the PPP who said they voted the other day and signed the petitions. I voted at the North County Governmental Center (Reston) on Baron Cameron and the woman manning the Republican "tent" had both petitions on hand.
