So if Trump and Republicans don’t intend to harm anyone then why do we need additional physical layers of security to protect Pelosi?

I did. At the top it said when the door was opened they saw Pelosi and the perp each with their hand on a hammer. Later in the statement, they say that Pelosi ran to open the door, opened it and then he went to grab the hammer? Which is correct? The police account, DePape's account, Pelosi's account? Confusing situation for sure. I'm sure the police have access to their own body cams and any surveillance video that's probably most accurate.

The “conspiracy theory” that I believed about 9/11 was that Clinton warned W that Islamic extremism was going to be the greatest threat of his administration, and I also believed that the government itself issued warnings that the rather arrogant W WH didn’t give enough attention to.
