DePape sentenced to thirty years.

So it wasn’t a gay hookup after all? (I’m being sarcastic, of course.) |
| I think that assaulter deserved every bit of his 30 r sentence, but why don't men guilty of horrific assaults in NYC get similar punishments?. |
He was convicted of federal laws related to assault an attempted kidnapping of federal officials, so the penalty is higher due to the political objective. Last week a man in New York who attacked three cops with a machete got 27 years. Similar crime, similar result. The question you should ask is why are the Jan 6 attackers getting off so easily? |
PP here. Thanks for helpful clarification about the federal laws and Paul Pelosi's attacker. Glad about the machete ctiminal. Too many others are back on the streets to repeat violent crimes. The Jan. 6th folks are getting off way too easily. |
Like in Texas where they let murderers go free so long as the victim is an uppity black guy. |
That seems universal among the traitor states. |
|
The 30 year sentence for bludgeoning Paul Pelosi stands. I hope that man never walks free again.

The disgusting posters who repeatedly kept making that bizarre claim should be deeply ashamed of themselves. |
|
I wish I could say I still can't believe Republicans joked about this attack. But I can very much believe it.
I'm glad he's going to prison for such a long time. |
|
It was a deserved sentence but notable that it’s totally inconsistent with what violent criminals get in SF.
If someone breaks into your home in SF and attacks you with a hammer, it’s more likely that they will get less than 30 months in prison. Not years. |
| I wonder if Paul misses him. Sounds like a fun night that got a bit out of control |
