Valid question, but I don't think the rankings apps will start over with a clean sheet at all. It should just continue on as it does and incorporate results into the rolling data window.

This would be akin to college sports like football or basketball not starting over after a season ends. Doesn’t make much sense. Each league year should be an entirely new slate. Why would data from this season influence next seasons data when most teams are completely different. Close to 50% turnover on average with the switch to SY

The fact that this doesn’t happen makes the rankings app seem illegitimate. Make it top 100 or less and do it right.

Relax.... a parent just like you with too much time on their hands made this app. Guy is open to feedback, email him. Great service, don't take it too seriously, great for flight bracketing for big tourneys, otherwise don't lose any sleep over it

How is Loudoun even on that list. Those are all RL girls.

Hope GA removes them or NVA. Getting ridiculous.

ECNL and GA rosters are 95% complete. There are definitely a few openings pending club and year but it is not many. Clubs want to move on to RL and Aspire so are locking things down.

Anonymous wrote:How is Coach AS? Is he good with the U13-14 group? Any insights?

AS will make your kid a tougher player. Instagram ball skills don’t cut it in ECNL. No club will develop your player, you do that on your own time. The club just gives your player a platform to perform. The club you play on doesn’t matter before HS so play wherever is close and move to VDA in HS like everyone else.

AS will make your DD a better player and definitely a tougher player. He seems calmer since BP showed up.

He is VERY well-liked by VDA players, parents, alumni.

He’s not a “kick and run” coach. That’s pretty well documented.

Since you joined the chat, go ahead and tell us which team you’ve actually produced that plays a good brand of soccer. What a joke.
Once the landscape shifts, all this high‑school recruiting VDA keeps relying on is going to blow up in their face. They don’t develop — they poach.
And now they’re finally getting a taste of their own medicine. NVA is taking their players left and right, including the entire 2012 boys team.
Pretty soon they’ll be begging to join MLS or GA. The landscape is changing fast, bud.
soooo how many players from vda actually played well enough to make the mlsn cut?

Clearly you’ve never gotten an email touting your team’s ranking to try and placate parents after being dumped out of another tournament and looking like dog$hit…. They ARE important, or so were supposed to believe.
