Let’s say a “reasonable” amount of support then. My community do support people who are homeless (especially vets) and lower income families, regardless of immigration status. I have friends who work with them every day to help. I guess your community doesn’t do that but that’s not very surprising. |
The community has already said it. That’s why I live here. |
Well said. Even Cher, of all people, knows this basic truth. And wasn't afraid to say so. |
Perhaps gather like minded neighbors, and come to an agreement about how much "warning" you want and what "support". Two key questions are 1) at what neighborhood address should the busses unload the migrants? 2) how many a day are you willing to accommodate? I'm sure you'll figure things out.... Do you think you can report back here in a week or two? |

I say circle jerk because you all say the same exact crap over and over and over again. Complete nonsense. “Libs want open borders.” “Libs don’t want them coming to their towns.” “4K/day” with no citation “Libs don’t want them.” “They love policies as long as they just observe them.” There is a whole thread refuting this crap and you continue to go on and on and on. “Circle jerk” is perfect to describe your frenzy of mutual gratification based on BS. |
My community has already stated that it would help. Back when Trump threatened to pull this stunt (AKA unannounced bus drop offs in order to - in HIS mind - penalize people who disagree with him.). |
I've yet to see one homeless person in my community. We live in an "outer burb," which many would consider rural as there are still many farms in operation. The schools are excellent, and the community support for schools and small businesses is the strongest I've ever seen. (born and raised in Mo Co . . . lived there for many decades) So MY community does indeed support its members, and the kids at the local schools are always involved in community outreach. So you can b*tch slap me all you want. I am TELLING you that if you think your community is one rung below the heavens, adding more and more people - illegal immigrants - to the mix will crush it. But I guess you believe in magic - as your community social services continue to expand -serving the needy w/o any additional funding. Why not share some of what you've been smoking with the rest of us? We all need a happy mental break. |

So now the plan is to “dump” them in Florida... note how FL officials oppose both the Trump admin and the plan, citing the strain on public resources. Tons of common sense.

If anything, (liberal) "circle jerk" is the perfect phrase to describe the political forum as a whole. You just keep repeating the same things, and validating each other without actually facing up to reality. |

The sex trafficking is horrific. If only you knew, you all would get off your a**es, stop the hate, and get to work. Just saw some young women say it happened to them starting at age ten. Any of you have daughters? Nice. |

Washington Post yesterday (May 17) reported now 4,500 border crossings per DAY!! Yet Democrats stay quiet. You think this will win you the White House? How’s that? |
Crickets. This was for you, mr naysayer. Let’s just be honest here, you wouldn’t care if it was 5,000 migrants an hour. Would any of you care? Have a nice day. |
The numbers went UP since Trump got into office. In spite of all of his rhetoric, it has been a fail. In fact his rhetoric has likely backfired as even more seem to have made the trek north figuring they should try now before the gate slams shut. Ooops. |
