Yeah! If you wanted to have 3 kids you needed to be Ivanka who can have 3 full time nannies. Who do you think you are having 3 kids? Infact people who pay taxes should not have kids. Look at POTUS. 5 kids and no taxes since Barnone has been born.

Your post makes no sense. You think a single mom can quit her job? How is she going to buy food and pay the mortgage? Married women are the only ones who have this choice.

Prioritize yourself and your career. You deserve it the same as a privileged man does. Again no one is forcing you to do housework. You basically allowed your husband to force you to quit working and when your kids are older you’ll deeply regret it.

Because of the flexibility of my job and inflexibility of his, there was no question of who would manage DL. But DH does way more housework to compensate. And we’re doing way more takeout. And I’ve let go of my initial perfectionism about managing DL. We’re both working much longer days, and are tired, but hanging in there. So there are ways a DH can make a fair contribution, and women do need to insist on not doing simply everything. But it’s hard regardless and everyone needs to figure out the best way to preserve their well being.

Many times the only way to get a man to do his share is to force it. Don’t buy groceries. Don’t order toilet paper. Don’t watch the kids. Don’t schedule things. It’s amazing what they can do when they have to. Keep in mind all of these men likely managed their own life before their secretary/cook/cleaner/nanny moved in.

I tried this. My husband did not pick up the slack. What he did do is start constantly yelling at the kids to do all the stuff I had cut back on. Wash the dishes, do the laundry, take out the trash, clean the kitchen, etc. He knew he couldn't order me to start doing all of that again so he started ordering the kids around. Miserable. And I don't mean that he asked the kids to help with some of this - they already did that. I mean he had them doing it all. And since he can go the whole day without eating, if I didn't shop for food or make anything, he would just ignore it and not eat. If I didn't ultimately make something, the kids would make themselves PB&J when they got desperate. Not a great way to live and not a long term solution.

Umm a single mom needs money too. If she quits how will that happen? I think the spouse that makes less money or is more easily able to get make into their career in two years should be the one to quit. In some(many?) cases that would be a dad.
