How were the turnouts for TSTJ tryouts? Lots of girls, I heard LMVSC and SYC where having issues, so I'm curious if those girls came out. |
Curious about this, too. How high will roster numbers go for next year? I know most were at 20+ before the breaking news of the sale. So, where are numbers now? |
And how about NOTHING on FCV’s website and social media about TSJ? If Bobby farts he tweets about it. |
Where did the entire thread about TSJ buying FCV go!? Too much truth to the posts about the big move to Springfield and how the families got screwed for FCV’s liking! Take a hint, people. |
This one? https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/803118.page |
Some FCV folks want to stick their head in the sand. And I get that if your kid is an 03 or 04. But there are plenty within the club that see the writing on the wall. I guess it will take ID sessions being at the STJ next winter to get some to start connecting dots. |
I’d say since FCV DA right now is top quality, stick it out for the coming year and see where all this goes from a coaching and logistics perspective. If nothing else your kid will practice and play with really good talent and can make a move to another team in summer of 2020 if things change drastically for the worse. In the meantime, take everything your hear the coaches and admins tell you with a grain of salt. |
I think that is good advice. I wouldn't be making decisions based on what some crazed, bitter and envious people on a message board say. |
Who is bitter or envious of a Springfield location? |
Not sure why it is so hard for people to grasp that if STJFCV or whatever they will be called actually moves trainings to STJ full-time, it will just attract a different geography of players. Obviously if the staff changes or the costs change, decisions MAY be affected. But you could speculate like that about every single club and every single team in those clubs. It is truly a stupid thing to be this worried about unless you have a kid on FCV and you aren't willing to make that drive. If you don't have a kid on FCV why do you care about how far others drive. The BDA and the GDA attract a much wider geography of players that other levels, followed closely by ECNL. This isn't that big of a deal except to those that are bitter and envious of everyone else outside their club and team. To those people, get a life. |
*than* other levels (like EDP, NCSL, CCL) |
You are awful defensive about something that doesn't affect you at all. |
LOL. That is funny. I am happy with my situation(s) and don't need to trash others to make myself feel better. If you call that defensive, have at it. I will just laugh in your general direction. |
I too think it is silly for so many to troll on this board as it comes across as very petty...shows the true personality behind the anonymity of a keyboard. If you have a kid at FCV, then take it a season at a time and if a drive to Springfield is necessary, then so be it. You are correct that the geography base is much wider. Much more than people who don't play at a DA club realize I believe. ECNL used to be a larger geography base, but with so many in the area there really isn't a need to drive that far. |
