FCV younger DA teams will continue to show more and more homegrown talent. So the stats there will get better.
This is because fewer and fewer outside talent is coming to the program. For this reason, you can also see how the U14 and U13 teams are not as good as the older U18 girls. This trend is likely to continue. Over time the FCV parent is more correct. Because the club is getting worse. Ironic. |
How will STJ show more and more home grown talent when they are changing locations? |
I don't know little man, reread your post. Advised. |
I have no idea what is going on with St James and FCV. It is hard to commit if your kid is younger when you don't know the direction it is going. Are we going to be practicing in Ashburn or Springfield? That is first and foremost the biggest factor for every parent. If ii is a guarantee that they will be in Ashburn 2019-2020 then current players will probably stay for the year and start shopping around for the following spring. If it is primarily in Ashburn for 2019-2020, nobody from Springfield will make the transition for a year either until it moves near them. Traffic in DC is the #2 worst in the entire country. Add in toll fees and it is impossible. |
Post in its entirety. "Seriously? Here is what was said "name calling and such over the top negative attacking emotional responses". I shortened to "insults". Is this really worth the time? Stop distracting from the issue which is people keep INTENTIONALLY putting misinformation on here for many reasons, none of them good." No name-calling that I can see. However, some would construe "little man" as name-calling Doesn't bother me, this little man can handle it. |
DP. It’s the FCV posters here being a bit disingenuous about the situation re: development vs recruitment. Even on the u9 team, it’s apparent that kids were recruited throughout. The younger teams have even more recruitment/shorter tenure and that’s probably why the stat isn’t posted.
I don’t see why this is a big deal either. It isn’t complaining or whining, it’s just pointing out a fact. Being able to identify and recruit talent is a skill, and FCV coaches are good at it. It’s not a sleight or insult. However, to say that FCV is developing and minting top class players is a huge stretch. |
Correction u19 team, not u9 |
I’m still struggling with what the actual misinformation supposedly was?
I think you just want to defend FCV at all costs. |
Registration is now open for the STJ seminar: Transitioning from FCV to STJ: Getting Along with other People |
Right...the FCV guy is the problem....maybe not. |
If anyone wants to defend FCV it should be the club and its staff. That is not my job. I make the best decisions for my kids - that is my job. I originally came to this forum for information and now that is a laughable concept. I am doing my little part to provide actual INFORMATION to people. Not interested in bashing or promoting any club. I will save that for the crazies. |
You provided a link that did not answer any specific questions beyond one age group. Not your fault but not worth defending either. |
I provided information and that is somehow less relevant than the original post - which only said that on a DA roster of 18 there are only 1-3 kids that came through FCV while providing zero support for that comment. I provide information to support statement = not relevant. Original post provided nothing to back up a statement (not a question) = relevant. Got it. Thanks for clearing that up. Next time I will just make a statement with no supporting information at all. Clearly that makes it more relevant. SMH. |
Except for the fact that other age groups were not represented. Perhaps the person knows the makeup and history of players on another age group and your link did not refute that possibility. |
Relevance?
You addressed 20% of that entire group. 20 is closer to 0 than it is 100. not nearly enough to form relevant information. |
