Most of the top clubs recruit. Actually, good players will want to go to the best teams. They probably didn’t have to recruit much in the past. Things are different now with so many elite options for girls. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

I clicked the link and also went to other age group rosters which coincidentally does not have that same information. Why is that? That's not a difficult piece of information for a club to figure out.

I don't know big guy. Send an email to the club if you believe something nefarious is going on. You sure do spend a lot of time worrying about things that don't affect you in any way. I posted a link to correct blatant misinformation from you to help people realize that believe what you read in these forums is foolish. 95% of the people posting about "inside information" know very little about what they are talking about. People should just do their own research, and, gasp, actually speak to real live human beings if they questions. Getting information from message forums and the resident trolls is going to help anyone.

As with many of the top clubs in the country, the best players usually join there once they hit U13 or somewhere around that. Most kids start out at their local club, where practices are convenient, and then talent tends to aggregate together whether "recruited" or not. Most parents are willing to drive once their kids are older as well, and they show more commitment and are more serious about getting better. A club (any club) shouldn't be knocked just because kids didn't start there when they are 5, especially if they live 30 miles + away.

This. And the parents of kids that don't get offers come on here and make up rumors and bash the club.

Why do FCV staff/parents come back with name calling and such over the top negative attacking emotional responses?

The omission is questionable, and I doubt PP expects a real answer from you, the forum or FCV. That doesn't mean a question can't be asked against the "correction of blatant misinformation"

Insults? Question asked? This wasn't a question asked. This was a bashing STATEMENT that was untrue. Should it not be corrected? And who is insulting who? The bashers are the ones spreading insults about everyone.

PP here, I definitely asked a question and you definitely responded with an insult. You must have thought it was an insult because no one even mentioned that word until you said it.

Seriously? Here is what was said "name calling and such over the top negative attacking emotional responses". I shortened to "insults". Is this really worth the time? Stop distracting from the issue which is people keep INTENTIONALLY putting misinformation on here for many reasons, none of them good.

It’s not misinformation to say that many of the FCV DA teams were recruited, not developed. It’s fact. Please post all rosters and the places players played from u9-u12 to show otherwise.

The statement was true. Only one age group at FCV advertises how long the kids have trained at FCV. The rest do not. The question was "Why is that?" Meaning, they promoted it as something to be proud of for one age group but failed to do so with the other age groups.

There are some logical reasons why they wouldn't bother. If an 05 joined FCV last year or so stating they have been with FCV for only 1-2 years doesn't look impressive. Assuming the player stays till graduation then advertising that the particular player has been at FCV for 4-5 years at that point simply sounds better.

I posted the link. If you choose not to click it and read what it says that is on you. The statement (not questions) was that only 1-3 of the players on the oldest team came through FCV. That statement, on its face, is false - see the link. If you think that every DA team (which is theoretically the top level of youth soccer) is to be comprised of kids that started in that club, then I cannot help you understand. The DA should be a consolidation of the best talent in the area. The "area" may be up to 2-hour drive away. And if you are a DA, you are not going to keep players at a lower level to not take the most talented just because they didn't start in the club or don't live in the neighborhood. Only taking kids from the neighborhood is what rec soccer is for. Travel soccer should include kids from outside the community and then ELITE travel soccer like the DA should include the best within any distance those parents are willing to drive. I don't understand what is so hard to understand about that concept.

Additionally, if FCV's roster was made up of the same girls at U9 all the way to U19 then you would likely complain that the rosters are closed from U9 and no one has an opportunity to break in.

You see, you are a complainer. So you will always find something to complain about.

They clicked the link, that is how they know that only one age group provides this information. Stating that fact is not misinformation. The question is why is the same information provided across all the DA teams?

What is wrong with asking that? Why would they care about the composition of a team that is not their kids age? I would presume folks would like to see what the overall long term trends at the club are. One can assume FCV is aware of being accused of recruiting heavily so if it isn't true then this would be the easiest way to dispel the myth.

I know it's hard to comprehend, try a bit harder to stop calling people names. Maybe St. James needs to hold a seminar for you and rest of the the newly-acquired marketing and social media staff.

If FCV wanted to do away with the "untrue" statements, they'd display the information consistently or not display it at all. They don't and it begs for questions. like, Why? I am not sure why they even display it. Is it for college scouts and recruiters? No, if it's a recruiting tool for u14s+, well that's ironic? If it's a recruiting tool for u7-8s then I would want to see what the full info looks like.

You think any club owes message board trolls an explanation for every hair-brained idea the trolls come up with? If they wasted their time addressing these lunatics all day every day, then you all would complain that they aren't doing their jobs. Complainers complain.

If you want to know why FCV didn't post that information for certain age groups, send them an email, call them or go speak to the club in person. No one on here has that answer for you.

Or you could continue to speculate on everything and spread conspiracy theories on a message board. Seems like you're not really interested in the answer but instead interested in bashing this particular club and likely several other on other topics. Keep up the good work.
