Some people are fixated on joining FCV. They keep trying year after year to make the team until they make it or graduate high school. I know players who tried out 2 and 3 years in a row until they made the team.
IMHO, even if you make it at that point, obviously the player barely made it and won't ever crack into the starting 11. It is very hard to get recruited when your main position on a team is bench. |

If FCV moves training sessions to Springfield I’d not wait a minute to move my kid to play for them. I bet many parents in the are would do as me. FCV should at least build a roster of talented girls in this area. |

I am also attracted by the fact that FCV players have the opportunity to do Futsal. FCV should pilot an age group calling for ID sessions in STJ Springfield Field. Many players from NV Fredericksburg, Prince William will be able to participate. |

Every club should want to attract and retain the best talent for so many reasons. Can't believe this has to be said.
Beyond winning, it helps push the current players to always bring their best and prevent entitlement. Very short-sighted for the club that FCV parents are fierce protectors of their DD's positions without challenge. Giant red flag for prospects. Recipe for relegation in the coming years. |

However, their improved performance in this age group tells me they are on par with the best performing 04 teams in the area. The FCV 04 vs Arlington 04 DA league game should be a good one. |
