November, I think. If you live closer to the magnet schools then they might not have gotten to your house yet. We live in Gaithersburg but belong to the TPMS cluster, so the bus gets here really early and the ride is an hour and 45 minutes

PGCPS announced around noon that they were closed tomorrow.
HCPSS announced at 5:15pm that they were closed tomorrow.

It was earlier this year, I think? A random day off when they first said it was a delay.

Ha. It's a hassle though, having to go back to the bus stop and pick your kid up, especially if they've already been on the bus for a while. DH was already at work, and if I had been on time, she would've been left in the cold. Can't walk home when you live 6 miles from the bus stop in 30 degree weather

MCPS teacher here living in DC . Our street has not been plowed at all and cars are sliding. Remember 3 years ago when thevschool was open while the streets were unplowed? Most teachers could not make it until past 11 am. It was a disaster.

No, someone sneezes and they wait until the last minute, then they announce a 2 hour delay but reserve the right to change their mind. Then they shut the system down.

I was already at work when the buses turned around. Kid's bus stop is at a high school and she has to cross several busy streets to get home(which is why I usually pick her up). I work in DC so obviously I wasn't going to go back home and pick her up. She had to stand in the cold for 15 minutes, trying to call me, before she ended up having to walk home in the long run.
The "snowflake battling snowflakes" guy is a total asshole
