Why so many people hate New England Patriots?

Not sports related of course but I would never root for an asshole who did that.
Eh, that was forever ago. It also is widely understood that the relationship was going downhill when the gf intentionally got pregnant. Since then, by all accounts, he's been an upstanding family man. He spends time with his first son and treats him well. He seems to be a good father, see incident with his daughter this week as an example. By NFL standards he's waaaaay above average. (I.e., the league of gf beaters and dog fighters)

I’m not a rabid Tom Brady fan but I don’t hate the guy either. But I do hate that he gets a bad rap over his relationship with Bridget Moynihan. They were together for five years and no baby... then the relationship runs its course, they’re on their way to breaking up and NOW there’s a baby?? Come on... she played the oldest trick in the book to keep him around and it didn’t work. They broke up and then she revealed she was pregnant after he started dating Gisele. She didn’t allow him to be there for the baby’s birth. I think she was the horrible one in that scenario.

+1

This is the most educated response thus far on this topic.

How the team lost, will he retire... What about the new team that just won?

Here's the issue: Brady does not flaunt it, he doesn't have to, but he is successful. There are unhappy people that just don't like successful people, and nothing will ever change (either side). He is allowed to be good, and is not looking for permission from anyone. He is his own person, and I respect that. He is actually fueled to do well by the hate toward him, which is remarkable. When he ages out the schadenfreude will be disproportionate to anything else. It says more about people who have such hate for someone they will never know, than anything else. This is the part that is fascinating. As for the team that just won, they are busy burning down their own city.

People dont really hate Brady unless he has ripped their heart out. However, hating fans who believe that his success is somehow their success is fair game.

Um, we hate Alabama because they violate all the NCAA rules and don't care about educating their athletes. Same goes for most of the SEC.

I don't see it that way, and (since you brought it up) don't understand about fans who see his winning as your failure; just as I don't think people equate his success with their own. But maybe if you see his success as your failure, than you make the assumption that other people think along the same lines as you - that makes no sense, really. It sounds immature, self centered, narcissistic and well, ridiculous. I don't understand the hate that haters don't want to call hate, when it is quite obviously that. In fact, there were more anti- NE Philly fans yesterday than Philly and NE fans put together, which may sound reasonable to you....

Do most people that follow NE or Philly even care about college football? My guess is no.

I did enjoy watching them lose yesterday though. Has it been mentioned that they lost to a journeyman backup QB?

So? The best team won yesterday, NBD. It is not a reflection on you, as hateful as you are. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the football so much as your reaction.

Awww, so sorry. It is ok to enjoy watching the Pats lose you know. It is just a game after all. "Hateful" LOL, that is funny. Not as funny as Brady getting stripped of the ball late in the 4th though, but pretty funny still.

No, it's not. And shame on you for casting aspersions on her. She handled the "new model" (Giselle) with grace and dignity. You, on the other hand, are a POS.

Wasn't that a great play? That was awesome - probably one of the best if not the best play of the game! This is PP, and no I am not a fan of either, but 1.) I recognize a good play when I see one 2.) I recognize a good team when I see one and 3.) I recognize an immature adult when I see one. Not sure about your visceral hate for people you don't know personally, however. That needs medical attention.

I’m a Trump voter and I hate Brady and The Pats. They are more lucky then elite. The refs, the league, the media love them and have allowed them to cheat for years. Their super bowls have been won by field goals.

In his post game presser, did Brady really say “they had one good play” ? Because which would be “the one”? Philly had a few. I read that quote on twitter and found it hard to believe. Even Gisele was congratulating Eagles players last night.

I thought Gisele was doing the right thing by congratulating the winner, no? Isn’t that what good sportsmanship is all about? Not exactly a mystery if you were raised properly, no?
