Why so many people hate New England Patriots?

People hate public, arrogant perfection...no matter the persons/teams in sports. (Alabama in college football comes to mind)

The Patriots are like that girl in your high school class who had all the teachers snowed and won every award. To make things worse, she was all kinds of smug about it. You're quietly glad when somebody else, anybody else, wins.

It's human nature to support the underdog, especially when one team always wins.

Eh, that was forever ago. It also is widely understood that the relationship was going downhill when the gf intentionally got pregnant. I’m not a rabid Tom Brady fan but I don’t hate the guy either. But I do hate that he gets a bad rap over his relationship with Bridget Moynihan. They were together for five years and no baby... then the relationship runs its course, they’re on their way to breaking up and NOW there’s a baby?? Come on... she played the oldest trick in the book to keep him around and it didn’t work. They broke up and then she revealed she was pregnant after he started dating Gisele. She didn’t allow him to be there for the baby’s birth. I think she was the horrible one in that scenario.

The same thing happened to Tiki Barbar and he was pilloried for it. So much backlash that he lost his Today Show gig and his career has never recovered.

Tiki was married and he was banging the kids' babysitter. Very different.

He found out she was pregnant after they broke up and has been a very involved co-parent. They share custody.

This nailed it. What I don't care for is people equating NE fans/team behaviors to Philly fans/team behaviors, when Philly is pretty much burning down their own city, as we speak. Imagine if Philly lost the game!
