White people dominate football? Since when?

Patriots dominate football. I think that's the point . They are white . It is the final indignity.

Here's the issue: Brady does not flaunt it, he doesn't have to, but he is successful. There are unhappy people that just don't like successful people, and nothing will ever change (either side). He is allowed to be good, and is not looking for permission from anyone. He is his own person, and I respect that. He is actually fueled to do well by the hate toward him, which is remarkable. When he ages out the schadenfreude will be disproportionate to anything else. It says more about people who have such hate for someone they will never know, than anything else. This is the part that is fascinating. As for the team that just won, they are busy burning down their own city.

People dont really hate Brady unless he has ripped their heart out. However, hating fans who believe that his success is somehow their success is fair game.

I don't see it that way, and (since you brought it up) don't understand about fans who see his winning as your failure; just as I don't think people equate his success with their own. But maybe if you see his success as your failure, than you make the assumption that other people think along the same lines as you - that makes no sense, really. It sounds immature, self centered, narcissistic and well, ridiculous. I don't understand the hate that haters don't want to call hate, when it is quite obviously that. In fact, there were more anti- NE Philly fans yesterday than Philly and NE fans put together, which may sound reasonable to you....

I did enjoy watching them lose yesterday though. Has it been mentioned that they lost to a journeyman backup QB?

So? The best team won yesterday, NBD. It is not a reflection on you, as hateful as you are. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about the football so much as your reaction.

Awww, so sorry. It is ok to enjoy watching the Pats lose you know. It is just a game after all. "Hateful" LOL, that is funny. Not as funny as Brady getting stripped of the ball late in the 4th though, but pretty funny still.

Wasn't that a great play? That was awesome - probably one of the best if not the best play of the game! This is PP, and no I am not a fan of either, but 1.) I recognize a good play when I see one 2.) I recognize a good team when I see one and 3.) I recognize an immature adult when I see one. Not sure about your visceral hate for people you don't know personally, however. That needs medical attention.

LOL!!!! You just don't get it.

Are you ten years old?

Other PP, Brady stopped at least one Eagles player in the tunnel and congratulated him in person - probably more, but he tends to do things on the down low, not for attention. Not sure this PP is capable of grasping that.

Yes, that the Pats lost is hilarious. It makes me feel like I'm ten years old.

It is a shame that the Eagles had fewer fans than anti Pats and Pats fans combined.

What a winner!

Nick Foles is a winner yes! Tom Brady this week? not so much.

I know, I know, poor Pats and Poor Brady, they lost a football game. They have only been dominate for nearly 15 years and we are supposed to care because people don't like them or the team? Get over yourselves already. Tom Brady could give two craps about what anyone thinks about him because it doesn't matter.

So get off your high horse trying to defend them and shaming somebody who enjoyed the Pats loss more than they did the Eagles win. THAT is what sports rivalries are about. Eff that Pats!

Just posting until this stupid thread dies. Grace for what? I didn't play, none of you played. I don't need to say "good game", I wasn't involved. And I certainly don't need to say "good game" to a Pats fan or a Eagles fan as if any of us had a single thing to do with it. I happened to enjoy seeing the Pats lose. Perhaps I had money on the game, perhaps I'm just sick of them winning Super Bowls. It doesn't matter, I was just a spectator. like you and the outcome was as I hoped for. If some anonymous poster on a web forums enjoyment of the game bothers you so much then you perhaps are to invested.

I am not telling you what to enjoy about the game and certainly don't care what you think of my enjoyment of the game.

Keep placing bets as a retirement plan, because your reading comp sucks. I said it was a fantastic game with some fantastic plays - but you keep living in your own world. I see it is serving you well. LOL.

Ahh, and all the personal attacks but I’m the one who needs to seek professional help. If this is what it has come down to just let this stupid thread die now.

Because Brady is a sore loser. Only shakes hands on the field when he is the winning QB, but as the losing QB he heads to the locker room. He is a punk, playing the role of a prince.

Not sports related of course but I would never root for an asshole who did that.
Eh, that was forever ago. It also is widely understood that the relationship was going downhill when the gf intentionally got pregnant. Since then, by all accounts, he's been an upstanding family man. He spends time with his first son and treats him well. He seems to be a good father, see incident with his daughter this week as an example. By NFL standards he's waaaaay above average. (I.e., the league of gf beaters and dog fighters)

I’m not a rabid Tom Brady fan but I don’t hate the guy either. But I do hate that he gets a bad rap over his relationship with Bridget Moynihan. They were together for five years and no baby... then the relationship runs its course, they’re on their way to breaking up and NOW there’s a baby?? Come on... she played the oldest trick in the book to keep him around and it didn’t work. They broke up and then she revealed she was pregnant after he started dating Gisele. She didn’t allow him to be there for the baby’s birth. I think she was the horrible one in that scenario.

The same thing happened to Tiki Barbar and he was pilloried for it. So much backlash that he lost his Today Show gig and his career has never recovered.

+1. Personal knowledge of the Tiki situation here... Tiki's marriage had been on the rocks for a long time but he was sleeping with the wife and the babysitter; wife gets pregnant and he still chose to leave to be with the young sitter; now his wife. Are those the optics you want for your primarily female morning news show on NBC? A Black man who left his pregnant ethnic wife for a young blond girl??

The big difference if that Tiki was a cheating coward and Tom ended a relationship that (in his mind) had run its course. Bridget "got pregnant" to hang on but I totally respect Tom for not staying with her just because of the kid. They seem to have an amazing co-parenting relationship but I'm sure Bridget is still salty... "i get dumped after 5 years and the one he marries and says is his soulmate is Gisele Bundchen". That has to sting on many levels; even though I think Gisele is a total B.

White people dominate football? Since when?

I had the same question. My oldest was always one of the only white kids on the team no matter what state we were in. How is it a white dominated sport?

People conflate ownership with the players. The players, coaches, staff, etc... may make up a diverse universe that is the NFL but what people are really talking about is ownership. White people regulate and own the NFL.
