I disagree, it's already happening in most major metro areas across the globe. I'd argue that we are quickly moving towards a global culture with a few major players. Languages are dying out rapidly, human beings are more connected than ever via technology and the European Union/United Nations is still in its infancy. We've progressed considerably towards a global community and will continue to do so.

I pointed out that 1) it's not happening everywhere, like, not at all 2) that this exact same argument was made many many times before. we didn't discover globalization it just feel new to us. But at the end 19th century people felt the same and then we know what happened.
