The world needs more mixing less separation. I look forward to the day when human beings are all ambiguous beige people. Get over our petty differences and come together.
this will never happen.
Exactly. It’s idealistic, not realistic. Not as long as there are limited recourses to be fought over.
I disagree, it's already happening in most major metro areas across the globe. I'd argue that we are quickly moving towards a global culture with a few major players. Languages are dying out rapidly, human beings are more connected than ever via technology and the European Union/United Nations is still in its infancy. We've progressed considerably towards a global community and will continue to do so.
this is only happening in major cities in the west - not everywhere by any stretch. btw this is the same thing people were saying at the end of 18th century. learn some history before you start your wild extrapolations.
Wrong - Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai just to name a few. The "west" isn't as special as you thought.
umm I come from a 2 million peole city where you can live for a year without seeing a "brown" person. so no it's not happening everywhere.
A whole year? Lucky.
Aaaand here we come to the crux of the issue. Forget "legal" or "illegal" status, those are just formalities to obfuscate the fact that it's really about skin color.
I joined this topic because it was claimed that the world will mix and borders will disappear and that "this is already happening everywhere". I pointed out that 1) it's not happening everywhere, like, not at all 2) that this exact same argument was made many many times before. we didn't discover globalization it just feel new to us. But at the end 19th century people felt the same and then we know what happened.
