Naked Photos on DH's phone...WWYD??

I am a happily married woman in my 40s and one of my besties is back in the dating game after a divorce.

Men she is dating will send her their "c**k" pics, and she will send it to me asking "what do you think?"

I will then make some suitably inappropriate remark and we will laugh about it.

I do not find OP's husband sketchy in anyway. He is not trying to hide anything, nor he is the one who is getting these pics sent to him by females.

I'll add it's kind of similar to leaving you a private voicemail or sending you a private written letter. My intent wasn't for China to hear/see it.

So if I send Aunt Bea a picture of my son in his baseball uniform and Aunt Bea forwards it to her friend and says - "Look how cute Zach is!" - I could sue Aunt Bea for Copyright and breach of privacy? Really?

Or does this Copyright/Breach of privacy just apply when Sexy Suzie sends Hot Howie a nude selfie and Hot Howie forwards the selfie to impress his wingman Dumb Dave?

You can pretty much sue for anything. To actually prevail you would have to prove damages. Obviously, it would be much harder for you to prove damages from
Zach, and Sexy Suzie would have a much easier time proving damages (lost her job, can't find job as direct consequence of Hot Howie forwarding pics etc...)

I think your smart enough to know the answer. Damages. Oh, and as you know you can ever only soft delete your trail.

Suppose Hot Howie only forwarded the pics to Beavis and Butthead and Dumb Dave who will just gawk at them and tell Howie to send more. Maybe Howie also showed a few mutual friends who also knew Suzie socially but had no business dealings with her at all. Suzie would be mortified to know that these people had been gawking at her, but beyond embarrassment/humiliation...what are her damages?

Who cares if you can sue? If you don't want your picture distributed, don't send it out. Period. Anyone who has dated in the past ten years knows this is a possibility and protects themselves accordingly. Or not.

I haven't dated in the past 10 years but I think that's good advice.

This can go back and forth with endless possibilities to whatever scenario you pitch. Maybe Suzie is now clinically depressed, and has hefty therapy bills not covered by insurance. She's so mortified she can't go to work, and loses her home.

This wouldn't bother me at all. Now if the naked woman had mailed the pictures directly to him, I'd be leery.

Don't be naïve. Women and men don't personally exchange or snail mail sexy pics anymore with the expectation of privacy. SMS text is and should be protected under the same veil. Just because you get a private pic of your lover's cunt, doesn't mean you have rights to share it globally because you have a digital copy. You already know that though.
