I'll add it's kind of similar to leaving you a private voicemail or sending you a private written letter. My intent wasn't for China to hear/see it.

So if I send Aunt Bea a picture of my son in his baseball uniform and Aunt Bea forwards it to her friend and says - "Look how cute Zach is!" - I could sue Aunt Bea for Copyright and breach of privacy? Really?

Or does this Copyright/Breach of privacy just apply when Sexy Suzie sends Hot Howie a nude selfie and Hot Howie forwards the selfie to impress his wingman Dumb Dave?

I think your smart enough to know the answer. Damages. Oh, and as you know you can ever only soft delete your trail.

Um, statutory damages for a copyright violation run up to $150,000.

Um, Sorry. You are misinformed. Depends on numbers of copies distributed.

And well it leads back to damages...

a. No, that's for a single infringement.

b. Even if what you said were entirely true, it would not in any way contradict the claim that "statutory damages for a copyright violation run up to $150,000."

Who the fuck are you people and your friends. Does anyone act like a grown up anymore?
Anonymous
Agreed. Who the fuck sends private pics to his bros? Nasty.

Maryland and other states have revenge porn laws. Basically no sharing nude pics without consent.

If this happened to me, I wouldn't think to delete it. I generally don't delete text conversations, so it wouldn't occur to me.

I haven't dated in the past 10 years but I think that's good advice.

Go ahead and grab your burka. Great advice, but unrealistic. Most of us dating sext and assume privacy. Welcome to 2015.

One should never assume privacy in this day and age...

+ 1. This is what's wrong with the whole situation, not that your husband is vacariously enjoying his friend's sex life. If I was in the situation I would bring it up with DH and point out the obvious misogyny he is participating in.

But Howie is just sharing pics of the hottie that he has been lucky enough to score. There's no revenge in his motives he's just sharing his good fortune with his bros (and bragging a bit too about his ability to attract the hot babes). What does the law say about that?

Married guy here. I have been chasing poon and women have sent me provocative pics and asked me to send them some of mine. I simply go onto CL and find something that looks similar to what I'm packing, that doesn't show the person's face or much else, then send it to them. They don't know that it's not really me. I haven't been called out on it even once. Chances are that most of those pics on CL have been stolen from another site anyways.

No matter how any of this is rationalized, it's still against the law if consent wasn't given. Not sure how that's so hard to comprehend!! Howie and other jerks should be just as "forewarned."
