Fighting a Restraining Order

This thread is good for you since it will help you realize the questions the judge may have.

Unless their house is on a deadend street with the potential employer at the end of the deadend you had another way to go.

Start there because if the potential employer is by their house you are now in a while different realm of shit.

No judge now, in the age of the Internet, thinks you don't have any idea where his house is. Drop that line too.

See above post telling OP it would have to be on a dead-end street.

DC lawyer here. There is no way she is getting an order against you with the facts that are presented, if it's in DC.

....Unless maybe you threatened or harassed her while driving by. It's a very high bar to show that a TRO is needed. However, if you have a history of violence or stalking with her, or the family, you might worry a little. One incident is not going to be enough. It's her burden to prove, not yours to disprove.

1) the potential employer is on a dead end street and the only way to it was by my ex's house. I have proof via a map showing this.

2) she knows what car I drive because she and I used to be friends years ago, before I began the affair.
3) I knew they had moved but didn't know what address.

Funny how you never mentioned the address being on a dead-end street until after a pp said it would have to be. Don't feed the troll, people!

Yea, OP is a troll for sure.

Op is a troll I filed a peace order not long ago. She's not related to the woman. You have to be related or have lived together to get a restraining order. They tell you that as soon as you walk in to file the paper work.

Why the F would you troll about this, OP?
Anonymous
Just because a poster does not give every surrounding detail of a post when asking a pretty basic question does not make them a troll.

I am the OP. I do not live in Washington Dc. Each state has their own rules and regulations regarding getting a TRO.

I bet the OP drove by 6383648494 times

Yes, I drove by 9939308 times. That's why I decided to come in here and state I printed out a map and emails, and in addition state why I am surprised they filed a TRO for one incident. Because clearly I must be lying and decided to post a fake question even though I really knew the truth of me driving by 0239439 times.

You are a nanny seeking another nanny job on the same street as your former AP and his family.
You have driven by their house multiple times (4 per your own account) as well as parked in the driveway of the new family's home for the interviews and resume drop offs.
The neighbors/ friends of AP wife have brought this to her attention and she did see you drive by.
Your plan to feign ignorance of the AP address is a bad one

OP was probably a live-in nanny to this family. Cheated with DB for quite sometime until MB found out about the affair. OP was fired but probably kept trying to get in touch with this family's kids, probably missed the kids or Dad boss so she drove by a couple of times, probably stopped and waved at the kids or tried to drop by a couple of times to "pick up" something she forgot in the house. Stay away from this family home wrecker!

You fucked a friends husband and you wonder why she's pissed off and trying to make your life hell?

Here's a tiny violin.

It was an ode to another popular thread. An inside joke if you will
