My husband is Bangladeshi and boys there are raised to pee sitting down . I found it so weird when I learned this! I think we were taking about potty training or something. Have never seen him pee. He actually locks the door every time he pees! He said it was a Muslim thing. Idk?

Since I am the one cleaning in our home I care. I am not willing to clean urine splashes. It's disgusting. Because the only reason they are there is because my husband needs to show off how manly he is? Yeah, no thank you. If he wants to stand he is the one cleaning the bathroom. If he wants me to clean the bathroom he sits like any hygienic person does.

I have a husband and two boys. I don't care if they sit or stand, and I don't care about cleaning up urine splashes. I put on rubber gloves and use a few Clorox wipes.

Buck up, people!

Ehm...no. There is a word for men who sit down and there is a word for men who stand up - neither is an insult. They both simply mean:

Sitzpinkler - Man who sits when peeing
Stehpinkler - Man who stands when peeing

They are just slang type words and you don't hear educated people using them at all. More like urban dictionary words.

I remember being in school in the 90s and sitzpinkler was very much an insult. Not a very good one, but it was definitely used when I was in school.

Well...I am German and it's not an insult. Maybe for kids and teenagers but that doesn't say much, they use anything as insults really. Like I said, there are two words for both types of men and neither one is used in educated circles. And it doesn't say much if something is used as an insult in uneducated circles, does it? Men who aren't sure of their masculinity might use it as an insult for men who pee sitting down...but that doesn't mean men sitting down actually ARE less of a man. It just means men insulting other men for sitting down are very insecure and have never had to clean up after themselves.

I bucked up and told my husband to take care of his own disgusting messes...what you are describing is bucking down
I don't have a problem cleaning up children's pee, diapers, accidents - I am not cleaning up pee after a grown man.

I wish mine would sit their arses down and pee. Pee is everywhere when they stand. Bathroom smells like a barn.

+10000

And I sound like a broken record in my requests for better aim.

Can't you tell by whether there is pee all over the toilet or not?

How is it weird...I know plenty of white, American men who sit.

Are you the same weird poster over on another thread going on about how all South Asian women are arrogant and snotty, and what a rare and unique flower your husband is because other South Asians hate outsiders?

When you emasculate a man, you get a woman sitting to pee. Did you people not see Belinda Jenner last night ?
