I still enjoy a very strong, loving relationship with the AA community. It will always be a part of who I am and my DW is very much a part of that bond.

From my perspective, people age differently. When I'm up in age, I don't care what I (or DW looks like), I only hope to be able to see her, hear her, hold her hand, and lay next to her.

If you're at the home of your in-laws and they serve chicken do you feel weird asking for white meat? I know this sounds funny, but when I was in high school a white friend was dating a black guy and the chicken situation presented, she asked for white meat, and the grandma yelled down the table to her "Then what are you doing here?!" and it was the highlight of the day.
