I’m a black man married to a white woman: Ask me anything.

This has got to be the most ignorant asinine discussion I've ever heard. "I’m a black man married to a white woman: Ask me anything." - He's one freaking dude...he doesn't represent or relate to every single black man on the planet who is married to a white woman!! That's the problem people don't realize when it comes to race - people are still freaking different. It's only the stereotypes and generalizations that are common and consistent.

"Is the wife overweight and blonde?
That seems to be the type of woman I see with black guys.
She is not overweight, but we both complain about our weight and swears that we'll do something about it - as we're driving into a fast-food joint...
Oops! She is blonde. "

JESUS honey, it is you! c u when we get home!

I am a white woman married to a black man and I am neither blonde, fat or ugly. What a horrible stereotype of white women that are in relationships with black men. This is my second marriage and my first marriage I was married to a white man. I do not see color but qualities in individuals. My second husband is intelligent, a wonderful husband and an awesome dad to our children.

Rock on, Mama. Fade the narrow-minded haters that futily try to put you (and other similarly IR married couples) into some kind of box so they can feel better. Although I don't get the impression that many people weighed-in against IR marriages in this thread, but maybe you should take another look at it and you'll notice how feeble the detractors' positions are in their small world. Rock on.

They were obsessed with each other most of the year but the black, non yuppie, girls in her class did NOT appear to approve. ( High Ses black girls did not appear to care). One came up to me on the playground to tell me about their relationship and it was clear she expected me to be horrified. Sadly this pressure seems to have led to the demise of their relationship. I am sad my daughter got to live in a color blind world so briefly. My daughter is 4.

This makes me so sad.

Yeah , sad bull shit

+1.

This is absolutely true. OP is not a template for every black man married or with a white woman. Yes, His relationship is only representative of His experience.
