You are so clueless I feel sad for you. |
Thrilled? Where do you see that? |
| Was there ever a conversation that you have to look after the sister and you said no? Maybe mom thought (if she was lucid) that she has to provide, even though there are way better ways to do that. Did she not have a financial advisor with such amount of money? |
This. |
Relax. You know what I meant. If not, Wouldn’t you be thrilled if your parents left you millions and you’re an alcoholic? |
+1000000 |
Seems you would be. |
| Some of you don't have addicts and codependents in your family. How lucky to be so ignorant. |
| My mother did the same with my brother. He was her favorite and she wanted him taken care of. |
|
OP, I am sorry. I am sure that this hurts emotionally as much as the money hurts and the plain old unfairness hurts. It is completely legit for this to hurt a lot on multiple levels.
Parents making these kinds of decisions and not talking them through with their kids is just mean, childish and indefensible. |
4 million will buy a lot of alcohol! |
You are clueless. You are the one who had no idea what your mother and sister were up to. |
|
Hopefully your sister doesn't blow through that money.. Keep us posted. |
Handing an uncontrolled addict that kind of money freely, it's sort of a race to see if she blows through it before she drinks herself to death. The mom did sis no favors here. |
This. Nothing fills that void for them. |
