No such thing as locked starters

New Brazilian kid baller shows up, he's starting

I agree with this. We had a girl go to Brazil for the summer and bingo, top team Player/ starter upon her return. Coaches love shiny new players from overseas. They displace all current us players. This phenomenon only gets worse as college approaches!

SYC offers started early, as they got an ID in before the ice/snow.

Low numbers for SYC

The smart kids and parents know SYC churns out professional kickball players and little else.

I am not smart but a little research shows they win early and kids fizzle out and don’t amount to much. It is a literal soccer graveyard.

Someone is upset they didn't get invited to the fun party!

How crazy is it that these damn leagues and clubs are moving tryouts up to Feb now. It makes kind of sense for HS aged kids since they are moving into HS soccer in VA, but the younger players have a full spring season.

Arlington had their U11/U12 Pre ECNL tryouts on Saturday. It is completely insane and they are gauging us.

Arlington always looks for size and no technic. Probably they believe they can fix the technic. No wonder why their older teams eventually lag. You can’t fix technic because no club in this area fixes anything LOL.

Lots of churches offer free English lesson programs in the evenings. They don't discriminate between native speakers and ESL. You may want to check it out as you seem to be an advocate of "fixing" things and self improvement.

You post in the offers topic at 5 am? You must be very nervous. Keep checking this topic every minute waiting for that offer, your coach may make you the offer on DCUM. You may also keep refreshing that mailbox. Maybe, just maybe you will finally get that offer (NOT) .

Season has not begun. You are talking about tryouts. How do you know he is starting?

Also...it's ALWAYS true that international males are better than US.

Nope. Not nervous at all. In fact, your post has nothing to do with what I said.

Some people work nights. But you keep making fun of that when your house is on fire or a family member has a medical emergency at 2.a.m. and you need someone to help you.

Everyone always complains about clubs only taking big players but in the last few years I feel like i have seen the opposite with the emergence of false 8 and all these other footwork programs along with all the drills you see on internet. We seem to every year get at least one new kid that looks great doing all the drills and on the small fields in tryouts then gets out on the big field and keeps trying to repeat what they do in the drills over and over again. With no clue how to play.

I feel like my kid is the opposite. They look just ok in drills and smaller spaces, but in the big field they make good runs and smart plays, and can push up on defense but still get back to stop a goal. Their teammates are more like the fancy footwork kids and it can be frustrating because they try to be the hero all the time and don’t look for the pass. It’s a guessing game as to what the coaches want at these tryouts. So far at least they haven’t scrimmaged on anything smaller than a 9v9 size field.

Did Arlington send out any offers after the first pre-ecnl tryouts?

FTL do not post your child's MLSN or ECNL or whatever offer on social media. Did you not see the part about keeping the offer confidential?
