The biggest oil company currently operating in Venezuela is... Chevron, which produces about a quarter of the country's oil. Will we be attacking the Chevron tankers too? |
Trump is sending us to war so Russia, not Venezuela, can sell oil to China. |

US oil companies need oil prices to be above $70. The break even price in Texas is $65. However, historical trend is pushing oil lower, WTI currently at $56, and global oil prices will fall below $60 next year.
So what better than to stop production of Venezuela during a long protracted war to drive prices up? WTI (5 year)

Yep the cult of stupidity Our men and women are going to die. MAGA has blood on their hands. |
| He’s so dumb. When the “dog catches the car” of a hand in oil.. then what? We don’t want to be there. Our corporate guys don’t want to be there. |
|
This is like England winning Florida from the French/spanish. Short lived. Let the people rebel against their own, not us. |
So, again - zero about the U.S. actually *invading* Venezuela. Thanks. |
How else would Trump accomplish his list of goals? |
This is an economic war. Trump wants regime change in Venezuela - he wants to force Maduro out. Ordering a complete blockade of all Venezuela's sanctioned oil tankers accomplishes this. He is trying to cripple the country's economy. You don't need boots on the ground to do this, and he has never threatened to send our military into the country. |
They have about 24 boats total including 2 subs. All foreign made. Probably take a week or so to eliminate them and create man made reefs with our superior American firepower and technology. Don't fret. |
