Don't. It's best not to go near that parade.

There are rumors that Proud boys are going to stir things up.

It still is a one day event. An 8 block parade.

Yet roads closed for several days. Why?

Because Trump is planning on keeping the military there they will not leave welcome to North Korea

Don’t know a local soul who’s trying to be there and most are trying not to be in the city this week if they can help it.

Tourists who are registered Dems or are from blue states have no trouble with METRO. It’s only the red state trash and other racists who are befuddled by public transit.

You people sure are deep in the trenches. Where do people even come up with this stuff?

Anyway, does anyone know if/when the mall will be closed off to pedestrian traffic?

It was closed off a few days ago. The guys putting up the fencing said anything inside the fence is now restricted. Also Trump has issued orders allowing the US military to detain or arrest people in the US. It might be smart to stay away from the military.

They just had to cancel the annual DC cystic fibrosis fundraiser because it’s being held at the WHARF and they didn’t think people would be able to get there. Very disappointing for fundraising efforts.

That is exactly what I was picturing when I posted.

Would Trump order them to run people down?

ICE ran over people in LA. That’s your answer.

Better to go to a nokings.org event. Stay away from downtown.

ICE rammed into a vehicle today and it turned out was full of US citizens. This is beyond out of control. Please be very careful if you go to protest.

Is there a map anywhere of the road closures? Usually there’s a map, but all I can find is a long list and it’s hard to plot out a route looking at that list.

Assuming some number of Trump fans are making the target 4 hour drive to see the festivities...where are the ones coming from south and west...red heartlands..going to park? They can't even drive into DC on 66 or 50 or 395. Do they get special maps to go around to
MAGA Parks or what? Are they just going to leave their cars on the road to walk in?!
Seriously.

Park at metro stations

Hundreds of thousands? How big are the lots?

If you need to travel tomorrow, Thursday, please be aware that the big black fencing and related barriers and the pre-road-closer...stuff, sometimes blocks a travel lane. It happened today on my am commute into DC and on my way out, the way in was completely backed up. So even though travel lanes should be open, they will not be optimal and your 3-lane road might only be two and maybe 1 at a major crossing. Good luck and God Speed.
