Do not think they are allowing access in the restricted area. It will just be Trump and his court.

I mean, they planned a parade at 6:30 on a summer day, so chances are high, as anyone who lives in this town knows.

They are already saying they expect it to be mostly local people who are driving in from a four hour radius, but I'm not sure who is sticking around for fireworks that end at 10 and then driving home 4 hours. Maybe the hardcore cultists.

Oh, there will be like 50 helicopters buzzing around over DC so that will be fun.

Will the helicopters prop wash the “crowds” or just tear gas them?

It's disgusting.

Why us anything being closed on Thursday, Friday or Sunday? Why is Rock Creek and the Key Bridge closed? There are more and longer closures for this stupid 79th Birthday Party than there are for inaugurations.

Purely to fck with the locals.

I wonder what they would do to people who lie down in the street to block the parade...

There are tons of closures until 6 AM Monday. This whole thing is idiotic and more disruptive than necessary. And the audience for this would have absolutely lost their minds if Biden or Obama wasted tax dollars on such a propaganda -ish display.

I will laugh so hard if we get big thunderstorms on Saturday. This is one parade I’d be glad to see getting rained on. (Not that I plan to watch either way).

My daughter's ballet recital is downtown on Sunday, dress rehearsal on site during the parade on Saturday. This is already a logistically challenging event and this stupid parade is making it a nightmare.

I loathe this orange idiot.

We have tickets for an event on Saturday in which our 90 year-old grandfather was going to be attending. Due to all of the closures it’s not going to be possible for all of us? So no we can’t just “celebrate” on Sunday. Metro is not an option for him either.

The wild inconvenience for people in the DC area from Thursday until Sunday for something that was originally a one-day festival.
