DC is not a greek life person so that's a non-starter but did join a few clubs and has been trying to connect to no avail. The competitive social and academic vibe is not what DC expected of Brown.

Np. I’m sorry to hear that. I thought brown was supposed to be the chill Ivy

I haven't heard good things about the experience at Brown unfortunately.

+1, I’ve seen many alum who seem to dislike it or even hated the experience.

Nope. If it was fit, we wouldn’t have these issues. It’s just how first years work and many people struggle in a school with a perfect fit.

Yes. Wrecked GPA, severe depression, almost dropped out.

Brown alums are amongst the happiest? Mine is very happy there. Sorry for any that are struggling though. Mine hasn’t encountered any, but they’d happily try to help if they could.

100% - Brown is the Vanderbilt of New England in this regard

Oh grow up both of you fools.

Every college has drugs, alcohol and cliquey behavior.

Your kid was not ready for college. Standing on their own two feet, making friendships with people with like minded fun. Your kid is. the cliquey little twat.

Doubt it. Your comment alone sounds fake and a bit rude.

Then it didn’t come off as intended if it remotely sounds rude? My kid is one that brings people into the group, always been that way. Looks for the one that needs a friend and asks them to join. I meant it sincerely.
