There are many Americans who are also supporting the movement and understand the anger. Actually people from around the world are also getting on board. He is threatening the sovereignty of multiple allies. If you don’t think that anger is justified welp, you sound just like him, making it about you and not the real issue.

Trump is planning a military invasion to take over Canada.

No he isnt

Then why are republicans trying to pass bills about not funding military action against allies? Because he’s threatened it to multiple countries, and even his closest advisors know it’s a sh-t move.

plus he said he is going to make Canada the 51s state

That doesn't mean he will invade.

If you are so fluent in trumpisms, could you please explain exactly what he means?

But what's crazy to me is this very xenophobic anger towards random American people, just spewing utterly hateful stuff. I'm not sure what the end goal is here, maybe it's just a form of venting and they dont mean it but frankly it comes off deranged. I dont think the average American feels the same kind of deep seated animosity towards Canadians (or any particular country, for that matter). Has anyone seen this?

They hate Trump and therefore hate Americans. Understandable because I hate MAGAS who voted for a megalomaniac who plundering the US Treasury and destroying our country. Europeans also hate us because of Trump's policies.

I'm so glad Canada, Europe, and China are standing up to Trump since apparently our congressional leaders are incapable of doing so. I salute them and say thank you on behalf of the 50% of Americans who didn't vote for this lunatic.

Do you feel safe there?

"only buying Canadian"
so that won't last long at all.

Canadians are willing to go hungry over this. They are far more capable of enduring discomfort and inconvenience than Americans are. It’s a shame that principles are so hard for you to understand.

I’m not able to post the pic/tweet for some reason but I’ve seen this floating around from @verybadllama

“Canadians want to be the 51st state”
Bro do you know how angry you have to be with the US to intentionally go out and purchase Canadian-made toothpaste? Because I’m there

😂😂😂

I know for a fact that Canadian companies with fixed assets in the United States are actively seeking protections to prevent EXPROPRIATION of their assets. I think there is a non-zero chance that the US also attempts to seize natural resource assets within Canada, as in start a physical land war. This is absolute insanity.

Canadians have a very reasonable right to despise every American right now. This isn't like "oh we feel bad because 2% of federal workers are losing their jobs". This is the first and most outward step in an entire destabilization in the Post WWII global order. And US citizens are just shrugging and think it's trump-being-trump on twitter.

Exactly! Now is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves as Americans and call Canadians who are scared for a very good reason "deranged." It's a time to call your reps, protest, speak out against the Trump regime doing what was unthinkable just a few short months ago.

Trump already called Canada the “51 state,” which means he is going to invade Canada with our military!

As a mother of a 16 year old boy, I am very scared that this lunatic is going to institute a draft to fight with one of our biggest allies.

I’m 100% certain your male child is totally unsuitable and incapable of military service, so if I were you, I wouldn’t be worried at all.

I think Canadians now hate Americans because Mark Carney, the next prime minister, was giving a speech saying stuff about Americans when really he meant only Donald Trump, but was too cowardly to call out Trump. So now Canadians think all Americans are evil and in agreement with Trump. If that is the case, Canadians are not very smart.

They are either paid to do that, or else are mentally unstable people ranting online, which is par for the net.
Average Canadian doesn't even know or care about tariffs.

Canada has been our faithful ally, and it’s entirely understandable that Canadians are very angry. I deal with Canadians every day, if you voted for this, most of them despise you. If you didn’t they have sympathy and concern for you. I have yet to encounter any personal animosity. Quite the opposite.

At this point they also just pause and laugh because one week it's tariffs threat and then not and then something else.

What are you watching on TikTok? Our president is constantly talking about annexation and turning Canada into a 51st state. I would be upset as well.

I'm Canadian. Tarrifs are a huge topic of conversation. Everyone knows about them.

For you. Most people don't obsess about politics.

Half of what he says can't be taken seriously, just like when he wanted to buy Greenland and rename the Gulf of Mexico. He backs down if people actually call him on his BS. Both Trump and Musk seem de-lu-lu with crazy ideas and they are feeding off of each other.

This is the most simple minded comment. No, Canadians have not formed opinions about Americans based on one speech by Mark Carney.
