Can we just calm down a bit? Clemson, UTK and u s Carolina are all great schools and are becoming increasingly popular. It’s best to shake off your view of whatever option of them you had in the 90s when you went to school. Things have changed quite a bit.

My kid really like Knoxville. We visited when school was in session, big football game weekend and it is really fun.

U South Carolina did not make the CFP; Clemson did, but lost; Tennessee dis as well, but also lost so OP needs to expand his/her list of schools to include some winners.

My kid goes to one of these schools, but we didn’t make the decision based on football greatness.

South Carolina was the "hottest team in the country" at the end of the season and got robbed of the last playoff spot. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

That’s nice. But the poster above is correct, it’s not the place, it’s the person. Maybe a higher ranked school eases the path to success but it’s certainly not the only path. Many duds who never learned how to work hard or have no discipline come out of T 50. It’s not an antidote to poor parenting.

My kid is leaning UTK as preferred Knoxville to Columbia or Clemson. Into FSU also…we have not visited yet.
